Staying in Okyakuya guesthouse was my first stay in a traditional Japanese inn and also, my first onsen experience, and both exceeded expectations. The guesthouse is charming and rooms traditional. We stayed in one of the most affordable rooms but it was still super comfortable and aesthetically very pleasing, as was the rest of the building and the entire town, really. The yukata provided by the guesthouse are very good quality and the several onsens have a timeless yet modern vibe. The staff is very friendly. We also had breakfast which was superb. We came specially from Fukuoka for one night and were glad we did. I would go back any time.

Majoituspaikassa otettiin todella hyvin asiakkaat huomioon ja palvelu oli ystävällinen. Erityisen mukavaa oli, että meille japania osaamattomille selvitettiin tarkkaan englanniksi, miten majoittuminen perinteisessä ryokanissa ja onsenissa tapahtuu. Onsenissa oli monipuolinen allasvalikoima, joista nautimme erityisesti yksityisestä onsenista heti saavuttuamme. Ateriat olivat miellyttävä nautinto. Vierailumme sisälsi täsmälleen sen, mitä japanilaiselta onsenilta odotimme.
