Such a wonderful hostel with its colonial architecture! Very close to the center of Riobamba. The dorms are spacious and the beds are so big and comfortable! Excellent value for money with breakfast included, nice staff, very clean, hot showers, great vibe with other travelers and hikers!

Located in Riobamba, 14 km from San Andrés, Casa de Mármol provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Irma, the host, was fantastic. She runs an amazing, comfortable and welcoming guesthouse. Her hospitality really made the hostel feel like a home and enjoy Riobamba so much more. I 100% recommend her- best place to stay in the area, even Ecuador. Thank you so much! I'll be back.

This was one of the most interesting experiences I've had with a booking.com stay. It's an indigenous community that has a small lodging for tourists. It was comfortable and sufficient in terms of the accommodations. The indigenous ladies are always walking around and love to chat with you. They speak Quichua and some speak Spanish. We were able to chat for a long time with a big group of them and learn about their culture, way of life and families. We hiked up to a hillside with one woman who showed us her cows and different crops. They cooked us their homemade meals and made us feel really welcome. It was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend. One sweet old grandma always had a little puppy following her around. It was so adorable. When we planned to leave at 4 am, one of the ladies organized a taxi for us. We didn't have enough cash left, so the woman's husband lent us some bills in exchange for a bank transfer super late at night. They continuously went out of their way to help us and show kindness. I will never forget it.
