He provided tips & tricks, printed ski resort information to us when we got down for breakfast. Breakfast each morning was eggs and bacon, provided with a pan where you could fry them yourselves. He gave us a bottle of sake as a present when we had dinner, and even sat with us during our meal, sharing stories.

Home Yasuda is situated in Otaru, 4.1 km from Otaru Station, 18 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, as well as 36 km from Sapporo Station. Really comfortable bed and good facilities. There is both a supermarket nearby and a konbini next door. I was a little unlucky with the weather while I was staying there, but I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. Also, the hosts have a few cats that might make you company while you have your breakfast. They are curious but really well behaved, I loved the experience :)

Shimpei-san and his friend are wonderful. Upon arrival, they offer to help carry my bag up the stairs. And when they see me not wearing enough layers for the cold weather, they very kindly lend me a jacket/windbreaker for the duration of my stays which I am very grateful for :) shimpei-san speaks excellent English and I enjoy being able to talk to him without having to use translator. 2. Quiet and peaceful. Well maintained and kept very clean. 3. Value for money. Very reasonable price for private room. Although the toilet and shower is shared, I never have to wait to use it during my stay. Towel is provided without charge, and you can get a fresh one if you want to as well. Power point in the room is located near the bed. The sliding door to the room closed with very minimum noise. 4. First place I stayed where sanitary pad is provided in women's toilet. A very thoughtful and unexpected amenity.
