The hotel had character and our room had a view of the river. The have a very reasonably priced package tour where you stay overnight in a cabin in the jungle after a full day of activities and canoeing down the river. We took it and the family loved it. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, but only a few blocks from the main plaza and the beach where all the monkeys play.

We loved the common area, right on the banks of the river and very quiet. The location is just amazing (easy walk and close enough to the little town of Puerto Misahualli) The rooms are big and comfortable, wifi works well, the gardens are super beautiful, and good breakfast. Anna is a very nice and helpful host!

The property is well-organized with high quality of maintenance as well as diverse tour programme such as walking in amazon forest and star watching on the boat. And its’ location is next to the amazon river, so you can enjoy and feel the river conveniently. The general services are good and you can feel the genuine hospitality in this property!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Rio Napo Lodge. I guess we went out of season (November) but it was still surprising that we seemed to be the only guests. We had the use of the wonderful pool to ourselves, which was nice. But the resort deserves better. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was how we wanted it. At the time of our visit, the bridge to Puerto Misahualli was still out but for a minimal sum (about a dollar) you could take a boat across to town, which was much more fun than driving anyway.
