The hotel is very centrally located but quiet. The hotel is a historic building with great character. The bedroom was comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom was very clean with a good shower, plenty of instant hot water and well designed.

This is a really elegant hotel in an historic merchant's house, which has been beautifully converted without losing its character. I was given a warm welcome, even though I arrived earlier than expected and all the arrangements were explained very carefully. The hotel isn't staffed all the time but there are contact numbers available for out of hours support. Most of the rooms are on the first floor but help was provided with my luggage. There's a good supply of water, wine and other drinks which added to the experience.

The hotel, as the entire city is a real museum. The rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. The bed was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. The staff went a step further in ensuring my comfort. I warmly recommend this hotel especially for business trips.

We stayed in Suite #2, with the balcony overlooking the Trave. It was exceptional! Beautiful Decor, original wood flooring, and boxspring bed. Walking distance to every sightseeing and historical attraction in the old Town area. Our highlight was sitting on our private balcony, enjoying espresso and later Champagne. I can highly recommend this hotel!

An old storage house, renovated and furnished using high quality materials, preserving the historical atmodphere. I loved the heavy oak door, the stairs, the ceiling beams. Very good mattress too. And caring friendly staff. Perfect location at the canal side and a few steps from the old center.
