Cool authentic Bulgarian guesthouse, very clean, decent price, friendly staff and a really good restaurant. Absolutely worth it

If you don’t have a car it is a few km into the main part of Smolyan but buses are regular. Having said that we liked the neighbourhood, had a community feel.

Nice home cooked breakfast, we also enjoyed good traditional food both nights in the restaurant. simple but comfortable room, nice view of the church. Although our hosts did not speak much English they were lovely and both went out of their way to help us with our travel queries which was greatly appreciated.

If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs might be a good idea. House doesn’t seem to have any noise insulation, and loudspeakers for the outside area are located just outside the windows.

Located in the quieter part of Smolyan, still with everything within reach. Easy to find, private parking and a beautiful stylish house. Very friendly and helpful staff. We didn’t feel like guests, more like family. Food…. delicious.

Wifi was a bit weak, but usable. Curtains were light and let in a lot of light at night, not ideal for those liking a dark room to doze off.

Lovely spot with off street parking, very nice host and keen to please and help. Comfortable and large room in an incredible building. All facilities were there and an in house restaurant was handy, with great local food on offer. Room had spa bath as well as a shower. Building has been lovingly restored and is superb with all local Timbers. Very comfortable stay indeed.

To get in and out of the parking lot is not easy and we chose to park outside on the street the second night. Especially the threshold between street and parking lot should be redone as our car's bottom kept stretching on it.

We came with our family to Smolyan to visit my wife's sister and the location worked well for us, although it is not in the center of the city. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed the comfort of the room and the breakfast served. We also had dinner one night and enjoyed the typical Rhodesian cuisine.

Traditional house from the Rhodope region very nicely refurbished. The room was very spacious and bright, and the hosts extremely kind and helpful. Also the restaurant downstairs was very nice. Definitely recommended!

Everything was perfect. Warm, spacious room in an unique restоred old house. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The prices were absolutely normal and portions were enormous. Everything was super clean. Definitely coming back and recommending it to everyone.

The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of breakfast in the morning. Also if you are looking for secluded place away from town this is not the one.

Our room was next to the street so we could here the traffic, but that wasn’t too much of an issue.

Clean and comfortable rooms in a truly authentic house. The staff was beyond excellent and made sure everything was perfect! And the food was beyond this world, truly authentic Bulgarian and super delicious! Can’t wait to come back!

The room was small. Not full set of facilities, but a hairdresser or an iron are available if you ask the hosts.

The hosts are very nice and friendly. It was very clean and the food was great. There is an option for delicious breakfast. Natural Bulgarian style in the house and rooms. No luxury, but comfortable suits.

The linen could be better, very small for two people sharing. Single bed width on a double bed. A lot of light through the curtains at night. Had to put the blanket over the curtain rail.

The hosts were wonderful. The presentation of the rooms were beautiful. The food was good.

No curtains, we woke up early from the light in the room. Beds were quite squeaky. Wi-Fi always dropped in and out on my phone. Blankets were a bit too thick and hot during the night.

Nice hosts, good restaurant in the hotel with many options and local dishes. Very clean and cosy rooms, traditional design, very clean bathroom with nice smelling towels, let you feel at home a bit more :)
