The room smelt a bit like cigarretes.

The attention from the front desk is great, they tell you where to go, how to go. There is a great place for breakfast besides and also a supermarket whit a laundry desk.

The floor of the room was quite dirty, it would need deeper cleaning between guests. The sound isolation is quite poor, we had some neighbours who hung out late every night and we heard them way too much.

The location is great. The metro is a little bit far if you have little kids or elderly but it's still walking distance if you like walking. The neighbourhood is great with so many stores, cafes and restaurants nearby, and not for tourists only, even though it is in one of the city centres. The staff was great: very friendly and helpful.

The cleaning standard could be improved. Some dusty corners and a spider web near my hot water kettle. The carpet in the hotel hallway where the guests rooms are is old, dirty and a little smelly- perhaps consider changing it.

Excellent location. Close to main hutongs for tourists, subway and airport express line to the old airport. The staff was very friendly and always willing to answer my questions. Comfy bed. Always had hot water and the heating worked well. I was a little concerned because Ive stayed in other hotels in the hutongs and those weren't always reliable.

A bit hard to find it if you guide yourself by their name on booking (better to guide yourself by pics, don't trust google location for accuracy)

Cleanliness could be improved. Nevertheless, the room is cleaned everyday.

The place is located conveniently near to subway stations (to or from the airport and travelling around the city). There are also famous landmark near the hotel. The staff are also nice and will try their best to talk to you in english.

Great hotel in a close proximity to the city center and 10 minutes walk from the subway. The room was quite functional (all controls digitalised) and even had a beamer.

Perfect place, just at the end of the airport metro line Close to all you need to see in the city center Staff doesn’t speak English, but does their best with an online translator. They were really helpful, and I wish them all the best!!

This was the worst "hotel" experience for me in my whole life! I actually read the reviews before booking but now, I learnt the hard way not to trust reviews anymore. The whole place was so rundown! Upon arrival, after checking in, we had to walk through a passageway that does not have any roof! The lift was miserably tiny, it can only fit 2 persons in thick winter clothing. Once the lift door opened at our floor, oh my gosh, we could smell the stench. Along the corridor, broken door lamps greeted us as we walked to our room which was located at the far end. The room was horrifying, it looked more like a set for a horror movie..and it was extremely cold, apparently the heater was so weak it made not much difference despite turning on the thermostat to the maximum. The towels were worn out (they look more like rags), and there were flies in the bathroom, which meant that the drainage was clogged. There was no dry space for you to wear your clothes in private after shower. The bed linen looked dirty. After just a few mins, I decided to call for help from booking.com. Fortunately Booking.com staff was able to cancel the rest of my booking, of course with penalty while we reluctantly stayed for one night. We moved to Hotel New Otani which costs just a bit more but a hell lot of difference in the quality.

Poor room facility and very noisy to sleep. There is a large aircon unit right outside our window. The bathroom and toilet are partitioned by enclosed windows.

Not what we expected, poor cleanliness

The staff were excellent, went out of their way to help but the hotel was disappointing. It has a different name to the name on booking.com and the taxi could not find it. The room was dirty, the corridors were dirty. It was a very bizarre set up. We left after 2 days after finding a new hotel through tripp and Alipay.

Nothing really, just beware that the projector only does Chinese movies.

The girls from reception and Linda are amazing and super helpful. The rooms were super modern and clean. The location is nice, restaurants around and a quick 10 min walk to the metro.

The location is perfect for exploring the authentic Beijing: near the well preserved “Hutong” area and tons of restaurants serving local food. The staff were very kind and professional.
