While there's no shortage of nearby places to eat, there is no food at the hotel other than bar snacks. Maybe the hotel might benefit if they provided a continental breakfast option or perhaps sandwiches at the bar. The room was clean but the cleaner should also check the balcony. Not a dislike but be aware that a £30 'pending' deposit is payable on arrival which would be charged in the event of damage. As stated in the advert, be aware that there are steps at the entrance.

Excellent staff, clean room, comfortable, worth getting a balcony room if you're spending time in the hotel as the view from the front is lovely. Usual complimentary tea, coffee and soaps in the room. Ask at reception for more if needed. Check with hotel reception before paying for parking as they get a discount on their zone, but you need to find a space first.

I aspect in the room table because I couldn’t drink coffee and always we need to sit on the bed also flush in the bathroom was terrible 😢 low pressure made us uncomfortable and scaffolding on the window especially in the morning wasn’t nice

Has an unpleasant smell of being very old - old walls, old carpets, etc The carpet in the room and the floor in the bathroom were not immaculately clean No breakfast options

The hotel has a very good location - right in the seafront, close to the railway station, even has a bus stop nearby. Comfy beds

Was a little basic and tired looking hotel and room. Sink still had soap/toothpaste mess when we arrived. TV was tiny and off centre, making it hard for my other half to see from the bed

I wasn’t aware that a £30 deposit was taken at check in and this had to be a card not contactless. Luckily I had my card details although not the card itself.

It was in a beautiful location, close to town centre, beach and The Leas. Staff were efficient and friendly. Hotel has seen better days and looks as if it’s being refurbished but it was clean and fairly priced.

Room had slight slope to it, not an issue just an observation,as was fun after a few lemonades!!! Also scaffolding was erected outside balcony. Again, not an issue, just needed something to write.

Room was very basic, no pictures on walls, nothing homely, chair or table , very stark but it was very clean and our room looked like it had recently been painted. Mattress needed changing as it was a "meet in the middle" kinda night!

It is in the early stages of a makeover - which means no food facilities (although there is a small bar). I think our room had been modernised but clearly they are not going for a particularly high standard. The makeover seems to have stalled. I hope they complete it because there is plenty of potential for a lovely period residence but there is a hell of a lot to do.

Excellent location, brilliant wifi, warm, reliable (if small) lift, spacious room with high ceiling and picture windows overlooking Leas and sea, friendly reception staff. Nice period pictures on walls.

Rooms did not have any ventilation and got extremely warm and stuffy. Even when there were raging winds outside the air in the room was stale and uncirculated. Very tiny TV in the room. Not enough plug points.

Old furnitures. Basic furnitures were missing. Plus the room looks old fashioned. The cups were not clean. Toiletries are very basic. Not good quality. Overall quality needs a lot of improvement including stairs and lobby
