It was a very nice apartment on two floors.
It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about. There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times. For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.

We were meeting other members of my partners family from America, Scotland and England. We were the only ones who were staying at the hotel and no one had thought about dinner. At Four pm I asked if the hotel could accommodate 15 for dinner and they went out of their way to accommodate us.
