Tarifa has one of the best beaches I've been to. Large, with fine sand, clean and easy entry into the water. Due to the winds, the area is good for water sports (kite surfing, etc), not so much for swimming, due to the waves. Good position to watch the sun set into the sea. Great place to chill at a bar nearby the beach, eat ice cream, have dinner. Tarifa is also very close to Morocco, a short ferry ride away from Tangier. Tarifa is a very unique place with a super relaxed and good vibe. If you want to explore the coast line it's a great base, easy to park cars outside the old town walls. There are various dunes and historic sites to visit within 1 hour of the city as well as view points from various locations with unbeatable views of the coastline and seeing Morocco which is pretty special. For eating, there is an amazing Italian Restaurant highly recommended called La Trattoria. I am Italian and the pasta was very good quality for Spain. There are also lovely restaurants beyond the port along the beach and in the area just outside the old town walls towards this direction. It is easy to walk around the city and there is plenty of shopping in boutique shops as well as surfer/sports shops. Huge amount of water sports activities on offer too.

Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch. Pretty shops and a good walking town, cool places along the beach for a drink or to eat. Ferry terminal in the town. Lots of bars and restaurants. The town has a cool beachy vibe.

In front of the apartments 1 time a week operates the market with the most delicious olives. Parking is very limited everywhere in Tarifa, so during high season it's hard to find a place. But you will find it somewhere around. There is a washing machine and a patio for drying equipment. Surfers and kitesurfers will appreciate it;) The key box is very important. Breakfast was served on a top terrace with fresh products. Staff was very helpful. The street is very narrow, so one can not drive to the door, but there a public parking ca. 200m away. The hotel itself in right in the middle of the old town with lots of restaurants and caffees.
