Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and...
Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and urban charm. The city is a gateway to thrilling wildlife experiences, with the Nairobi National Park providing a rare opportunity to see, giraffes, and rhinos against a backdrop of skyscrapers. The Giraffe Centre allow for intimate encounters with giraffes. Nairobi's rich cultural heritage is showcased in attractions like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi National Museum. The bustling Maasai Market is perfect for shopping for local crafts and souvenirs. Culinary delights abound, from street food stalls to high-end restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Despite its busy urban environment, Nairobi has serene spots like the Karura Forest for nature walks and picnics but was flooded during my visit. The city's vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and mix of traditional and modern experiences make Nairobi a captivating destination for any traveler. Be extra cautious of your safety and belongings while travelling, lurking danger of thefts always.

Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Loved Nairobi!!!
Loved Nairobi!!! Do not let people freak you out with the security... No problems whatsoever (not more at least than any western countries to say the least). Do not spend your time in shopping centers, imerge yourself meet Kenyans and go around!! Uber are super safe.. Go for it
This is the best place I’ve stayed at in Nairobi (and I have stayed at A LOT of places). Everything was great!! The place was stylish, huge, and tastefully decorated. Location was great because of the vicinity to convenience stores and groceries and not in the heart of Westlands (which is too busy and bustling). Love the additional touches, like a hair dryer and detergent, and some adapters. WiFi was also super fast and the building had good amenities. Really great value for money and more generally, an amazing place to stay!
We loved everything about this place. It has a special timeless atmosphere and makes you feel "at home in Kenya". The staff and the owner Chris have been excellent hosts. We miss one of their house dogs "Max" very much! The food was very good. The transfer from the airport was done by "Entice Afrika Safari" where we met Anthony Muli, who guided us through Nairobi the next days. Staying at Karen Gables made all the difference for us in comparison with any other "normal" hotel. Highly recommended!!
I enjoyed my stay here so much that I kept coming back over and over. I traveled throughout Kenya and stayed at this great hotel every time I came back through Nairobi. It is in a great location, it has a super comfortable bed, spacious room, hot & strong shower, and great Wi-Fi! Everyone who works here was so nice and accommodating— particularly, Tony, at the reception was extremely helpful and always had a smile on his face. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay!
I stayed at this hostel twice during my stay in Nairobi. It's located near Westlands in a secure estate and is a perfect place to escape the craziness of downtown Nairobi. It wasn't too busy when I was there but we had fun chilling and chatting in the reception area, watching a movie in the film room, the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable with adequate bedding. The bathroom was clean and large with hot water.
Great hotel near the airport. Thr facilities are good and clean. The breakfast was very good quality, and the staff is polite and welcoming, as is the rule in Kenya. If booking a deluxe room, transfer to the airport is complimentary. It only takes 10-15 minutes. There are rooms with view over Nairobi national park, you probably won't see anything mind blowing as it's the area next to the road, but its a nice touch 🙂
I had a great stay at LMR. The staff were always polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and abundant, it was quite quiet when I was there however the service remained high level. The room was huge and spacious, it doubled up as my office whilst working. The location is a walk away from everything in Westlands as well as a walk to the Museum of Kenya. The street is quiet but this neighbourhood is vibrant.
The apartment is in an excellent location , close to upmarket restaurants and yaya supermarket with banks close by. Very convenient location to town centre, easy transport to the airport , Nairobi national park and the bomas of Kenya. Security is excellent . It is on the 11th floor with an efficient lift with spectacular view of the whole of Nairobi from the rooftop.
Breakfast was good. A wide selection to choose from African Breakfast, Italian, English and Special Somali and Arabic dishes on offer. Get a taste of the juicy and mouth-watering Arrosto and Alleso... You will always be asking for more! The location is also strategic for those who want to enjoy the City. It is right in the CBD of the Capital.
Nestled in Nairobi’s bustling Westlands area, the Golden Tulip is a charming, clean and secure hotel. The staff are all professional and friendly. The restaurant, rooftop bar/pool, and the gym are all excellent amenities. Although I stayed there only for two days, I will certainly book my next stay in Nairobi at the Golden Tulip.
This hotel was perfect for my final night in Nairobi. The location is great, in the heart of Westlands. I enjoyed the meal I had at the restaurant. Special thanks to the lovely Winnie, as well as the rest of the team for being so welcoming. The team listened to my request for a quiet room and gave me one on the 8th floor.
Relatively close to the airport (20 minutes by taxi), so no need to travel to or through central Nairobi.
The room and the hotel in general were clean enough.
As is often the case in Kenya, the staff were generally friendly and helpful and were open to negotiation.
Located in a good neighborhood and near Nairobi CBD and other essential stores like Quick Mart. There were security guards all the time and they were very polite and helpful and did not interfere with our lives. The place was quiet despite being near a main road.
The location is great during the day as you can simply walk to Westlands, but at night you’ll need cab, which is cheap due to short distance to town and Westlands.
It’s marvelously spacious.
The host was so caring and prompt.
Friendliness of the staff, from the guy who met us at the airport to the hotel. Every one was welcoming and helpful. We had dinner which was excellent and breakfast. We had a great experience of Nairobi.
The rooms are clean and quiet and with complete privacy. The staff are supportive and very professional with best service. You won't find such in most hotels especially those in cbd
The apartment that I book online at booking.com .Homes by Della - Sebuleni Westlands, Lantana Road, Westlands One Urban, 1st Floor, Nairobi, Kenya wasn't the same as I booked.
