If you're looking for cruise ship parking and are considering using the Scottish Inns at 928 Ferry Rd, DON'T. Not only is the hotel a #^%# hole, your vehicle is not safe in their parking lot. My vehicle was vandalized while we were on our cruise. We parked where the Scottish Inn person told us to. If you have a problem, they won't call you back. Terrible service!!

Conveniently accessible but DIRTY beaches.
Conveniently accessible but DIRTY beaches. Tons of mosquitos after rain that were absolutely savage. Great people and architecture. Had it's ups and downs. Easy to get around town. Partner loved the pleasure pier rides.

Galveston was beautiful and interesting.
Galveston was beautiful and interesting. Boat tours for dolphin watching and sunset tour were amazing (except both tours were cut short). Lots of great places to dine. Museums were absolutely amazing. Traveling was easy to all the places we wanted to see. The ferry to other islands is an adventure you must see. Be sure when you book a hotel that you don't get one that has hidden fees like the Clarion.

I took my grandkids down so they could go on a cruise. Stayed 1 night but it was wonderful, except for the weather. Too windy & rainy, but we were able to get out & walk a little. The grandkids walked along the beach & gathered sea shells.

I love the small town feel with so much to do.
I love the small town feel with so much to do. Be careful where you stay. There are some good deals on hotels, but, check the reviews before you book your room.
There are so many beaches that you have good access to.
We are motorcycle riders. There is a really cool bar on the beach called Woody's. Great views, friendly bar tenders.
We ate at Doc Holiday's. The food was phenomenal. Try their pulled pork burger! You better be hungry.
There are a lot of cool places to party right across the street from the beach.
Everything about this place was exceptional. The room was immaculate, spacious and beautiful. Every staff member we came in contact with were friendly and accommodating. Full breakfast was back with no restrictions and it was delicious! The pool and hot tub were wonderful and always clean. I love that every room has an ocean view balcony, unlike so many properties in Galveston. Also love that this hotel is on the quieter west end of the island. We had zero noise issues and zero complaints. We will definitely be back.
The view of the ocean was great, and the location was good. Not as busy as the more touristy area to the east. Our room was very large, and spacious.
Breakfast included was super. Pretty busy at breakfast time, but we managed to have a table every day. There was a pair of people who I would consider to be food hoarders, which disturbed me a bit, because of the wastefulness of it. It costs the hotel money which eventually gets passed down to the more considerate people in the end.
Very nice and clean boutique place to stay in Galveston. It has characters. The staff is very responsive; my questions were replied quickly. Airconditioner is not pointing to the bed so you won't get cold at night. There is enough room for 2 people. The sink is small but there is a shelf for toiletries. Good value for the price. Parking space is on the street but you can park right in front of the hotel with parking pass. Excellent! Thank you.
This hotel had the cleanliness and the nice bedding I have come to expect from a Marriott property. Staff were polite and friendly. My primary reason for traveling to Galveston was for business, a speaking engagement. I took an extra day or two off in hopes of doing some birding, and I liked to this location on the west end of the island for that purpose.
Location, staff breakfast and what we got for the price especially considering how high the prices were at most other hotels were. We are local and stay in Galveston very often and this is my new spot. They happily gave us extra blankets and utensils and even upgraded us to a balcony room for free ❤️
This is a very good hotel in a convenient location to most all of Galveston Island. The staff was courteous & helpful and the room was more than comfortable enough for my family. They have a business center and a fitness work-out room.
The "free breakfast" was also an added bonus to our stay.
Got double booked and didn’t even stay there, slept in our vehicle the first night we were in Galveston with a 4 month old baby because of this and everything else was already booked up even hotels… do better Booking.Com. Nothing towards the house because we didn’t even get to see it!
We liked that it was close to everything that we had planned to do in Galveston. The hotel was easy to reach no matter where we went in town. Front desk staff was courteous and nice and was able to get us in our room quickly.
We stay at this hotel every time we go to Galveston. Mainly because they have an indoor pool. It is also in a good location, they always try to accomodate anything I ask. Rooms are roomy and clean. Good breakfast too.
The breakfast was good. The food tasted good and was at the proper temperature. The staff kept everything full. Our room was so quiet it was like we were the only guests in the hotel.
Gaido’s was great. It’s an older hotel with charm and character, but is kept clean and updated. The staff were really helpful and kind. The location right on the beach was perfect.
The location of the Hotel was no more than a mile from the beach and no more than 5 miles from the pier and all the other sights of Galveston. VERY CONVENIENT 😊
I've stayed at this hotel several times. It is a wonderful place to stay while waiting to board a cruise ship. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
