We loved the property’s location (2 min away from the beach, 15 min away from the park entrance), pool terrace in the middle of the jungle, bar/restaurant, staff (thank you Carlos for showing us all the monkeys around the hotel and lending us your torch and binoculars!) and kittens!

I absolutely loved the layout! You feel like you are staying in a villa, each room is positioned on different levels of the stairs. 3 pools! Each with a different vibe, one for social gatherings and a volleyball net, one for a more zen pool time with the occasional monkey/iguana visit, and one that is central to the private rooms. A rooftop terrace overlooking the jungle was a unique and perfect for social spaces to get to know people. The restaurant and bar are easily accessible, delicious food and great servers! The rooms are cleaned once a day which is refreshing after long days at the beach when you are covered in sand. Selina hosted a different activity every night that was welcoming, inclusive and tons of fun for everyone who joined! The staff were very approachable and very helpful! I recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Manuel Antonio! It gives you the opportunity to branch out and meet new people every day as a solo traveller!

Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding...
Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding town are plenty. It was easy to walk around, although take notice of the traffic on the main road. It got pretty busy and fast sometimes. We stayed near our resort for meals within walking distance- El Wagon was a good family spot for dinner's not spent at our resort. We had an excellent lunch and cup of coffee at Emelio's Café. The town has plenty of grocery stores for any daily needs.
We only tried two beaches. Playa Bisanz had tricky parking and the guys watching cars honestly looked a bit sus. We did not stay there for long. Playa Manuel Antonio was absolutely beautiful. The park fee/ reservations keep it low key and it's well worth the visit and admission fee. The water was warm and the beach clean. Watch your belongings as the capuchin monkeys that bounce around are more than happy to raid your bag, as we witnessed happening to one of our fellow beachgoers.
If you're driving yourself to the park, take notice of the official parking. The locals are harmless but a bit aggressive with trying to get you to park in their lots so they can charge you. We got forced into a lot by a gentleman jumping into the road, then kicked out when we told them we didn't want a guided tour with them. We laughed it off, as we could have easily just driven around him. If you book your adventures with a company, they all offer transpiration.
That said, a guided tour with a reputable company (We did Jade Tours) for the national park is a must. We saw WAAAAY more than we would have on our own, including a sloth fight. Well worth the fee.
We also did a kayak/mangrove tour with Narcacosta and a guided horseback/waterfall tour with Brisas del Nara- I cannot say enough good things about either one of these organizations. Top tier experience, knowledgeable guides, and beautiful facilities.

I forgot to mention before about the assistance I got from the customer service representative ELISABETH. She helped me since the very begin of my reservation to the very end with great knowledge, efficiency and patience. I am I little challenged with the internet but she was right there for me, did not matter the time. We are all lucky for having her.

Absolutely stunning area of Costa Rica.
Absolutely stunning area of Costa Rica. A very nice and friendly vibe in the area. No safety concerns at all. Beaches.....just "wow". Do not miss this area. Stayed for 6 nights...could easily have stayed longer.

Good beaches.
Good beaches. Espadilla, even when crowded, is large enough that you can walk a little and get a fairly empty beach if you prefer. A car is a must-have if you plan to explore the town, but you're not missing much if you stay in a resort with beach and jungle access the whole time. The most expensive restaurants are good, all others are nothing special and just okay to not be hungry. You'll get better treatment as a foreigner because people expect tips, so definitely take advantage of that if you are one.

Mid-February is very hot and humid for this area - 90 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. We really enjoyed visiting the park and seeing rainforest wildlife, swimming at the beaches (watch out for strong rip tides!), and familiarizing ourselves with an area we had never been to before. Be ready to pay tourist prices (you are in a high tourism area - and it is so for a good reason), but if you can get an apartment with a kitchen, visiting the Quepos farmer's market and being able to make some of your own meals make this area more affordable. Glen's on the beach has the best chairs and his whole family is so kind and helpful. Going into the park for the first time with a guide is highly recommended, but so is going a second time on your own at your own pace. Get there first thing in the morning, because it heats up and gets busy after 9 AM. Eat at the Falafel Bar, like everyone says, because it is delicious (the smoothies are really refreshing). The public busy is easy to navigate, so use it and explore! Favorite activity in the area, other than the national park, was by far the Night Damas Mangrove Tour with Iguana Tours. Explore and have fun!

The room and bathroom was large and balcony overlooked the jungle, monkeys and birds came to the balcony everyday
The area is so lush with beautiful flowers and trees. The beach area and ocean was really nice. The way down to the beach was easily accessible, the path down has ropes on both sides to help.
Swimming pool was lovely surrounded by tables and umbrellas could have meals there if chosen. Excursions easily booked by agents and very informative.
This is the best place I stayed in Costa Rica. I would recommend the triple room, even if you are traveling alone, if you can afford it, as it is a large 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen which has a large private balcony from which you can even see a sliver of the Pacific. Aircon first rate, which for me is pretty essential for sleep when it is 30+ degrees. Super comfy! Hosts friendly and helpful. About 2 1/2 kilometers to the Manuel Antonio public beach. Lots and lots of great restaurants/cafes/bars within walking distance.
This was a perfect place location for visiting Manuel Antonio with our family. The hotel room was comfortable and fit us and our two teenagers. The bar and restaurant area make you feel like you are truly in the middle of a jungle. Each morning, we had the monkeys in the trees above us. We were woken in the morning by the howler monkeys. It was amazing! Also, there are lots of restaurants around, easy access to a beautiful beach about 200yds away, and it's an easy 10 min walk to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park.
the facilities are very clean and bright and soooooo conveniently close to Manuel Antonio National Park - we were literally at the entrance! it is also located close to the beach and the beachfront restaurants/shops - it was easy to walk there. the hotel also has a free coffee machine where you can make your own cup of coffee, cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate or hot tea. our king suite had two king beds and the mattresses were awesome - we had excellent nights’ sleep while we stayed here.
The location is great, couldn’t be closer to Manuel Antonio National Park. The hotel is right outside the park, entrance, a few minutes away from the public beach and there is a supermarket right next door.
It’s also very close to the public bus stop so getting around is easy if you don’t have a car.
The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and was very necessarily as it was always 30 degrees outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average.
This stay was far beyond our expectations. It’s right on the mountain road that goes to Manuel Antonio national park and beach. Easy parking and check-in. A great bar, restaurant and perfect staff. They even have hiking routes in the forest that starts at the hotel!
The only downside for us was the quality of the room and bathroom. It wasn’t perfectly clean but it was a good value for the money anyway. I’m sure there are some better room options.
The buffet breakfast was great, with fresh fruits and classic Costa Rican food available.
The room was large and even offered a kitchenette, although we didn't really need it. The view from the room & balcony was absolutely serene and from the swimming pool near the reception was gorgeous, among one of the best that a hotel can have, overseeing the entire Manuel Antonio beach area from around 100m altitude above sea level.
La Posada is located close to the park, beach, store and restaurants. The people that run the hotel treat you like family. They anticipate what you need before asking. Rony is an incredible tour guide whose passion for Manuel Antonio Park will be contagious for the guests who explore this national park. Staying at a hotel is one thing but forming friendships and creating memories another
Small studio apartment but with spacious balcony, hammocks and an amazing view of the coast and sunsets, plus garden below with birds and other wildlife. Easy 5 minute walk down to great beach, or up the hill to the nearby restaurant.
Also lovely to have access to swimming pool after day on the beach or day in Manuel Antonio National Park (25 min walk away or 5 min drive)
The beds were sensationally comfortable. The best we had in Costa Rica. The location was very nice because almost directly near to the park and we saw a lot of animals around. The view was also great however we had one delux villa mountainside and the street between this and the beach/pool/restaurant was quite trafficked and loud while sitting on the balcony.
The hotel is in a good location and close to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. It is at the bottom of the hill which makes it easier to get transportation and there is a public bus station right across from it. The rooms were clean and the comfortable. The decor and aesthetic of the igloos was cool, with a pool that was accessible.
Breakfast and Dinner was excellent. Some of the best food we had in Costa Rica. I absolutely loved the Curry Red Snapper for dinner.
Great place to see wildlife. We saw more animals in birds at the hotel than we did at Manuel Antonio. Two toed sloth, macaws that arrive every evening around 5 pm. Toucans seen daily.
Wow what an amazing place, right on the beach with monkeys and birds coming to drink and splash in the swimming pool. We also saw a sloth in a tree right next to the back gate. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Both my daughters didn't want to leave. We saw more wildlife in the hotel than in the national park!
Highly recommend.☺️☺️ The owner is such a great person.
This hotel is behind Manuel Antonio Park 2min walking to the entrance.
So many good restaurants near.
The hotel has a nice swimming pool (warm water), you could see a lot of different birds on this area.
Public beach is 5min walking.
Wonderful hotel in a great junglelike park, best breakfast we had in Costa Rica, very nice swimming pool and terrace with view in the beautiful park - in the morning and in the evening monkeys could be heard, a big variety of birds flew by and we even saw Tukans in the garden.
The breakfast was pretty good & the staff were nice.
The location is right next to Manuel Antonio and has its own car park which is great. We went to the beach inside the park at 7am and it was pristine. Wouldn't recommend the hotel beach if you don't like it busy.
It is next door to the Manuel Antonio Park. it takes five minutes to walk there. It is also only a few minutes walk to a very nice beach and restaurants. The hotel has a pool where you can relax. Our room was very simple, but clean. The parking was a big plus.
It delivers what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. It's close to the beach and animals are directly surrounding us. The breakfast is really superb. It was the best breakfast we had in Costa Rica, and we've been to many places.
The pools were very nice, well located in the Main Street, close to the bus stop, just 10 min bus ride from the beach or the Manuel Antonio National Park. Big hotel, nice for families.
Best location in Costa Rica. Best views over most beautiful Manuel Antonio Bay. A must stay for any visitor to Costa Rica. Should be on every ones bucket list.
