Parkhotel del Mar, hotel in Sassnitz

Located above Sassnitz's historic Old Town, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Baltic Sea promenade and the Jasmund National Park.

Our apartment - room 18- was excellent: large and airy with a view over the park across the road. The environment was exceptionally clean and orderly. Really wonderful hot shower with plenty of space to enjoy it. Breakfast was abundant and included a great selection of items. Was great to have very easy parking available at the hotel as parking is at a premium in Sassnitz.

Hotel Mukran, hotel in Sassnitz

This bed & breakfast hotel is located at the edge of a forest near to Neu Mukran, between the sea port of Sassnitz and the coastal resort of Binz. It is a 15-minute walk from the Baltic sea.

The Staphel hotel was closed for maintenance and we were asked to check in in another hotel, which quality was not as good as the one of Staphel. The rooms were small, not clean. Booking.com permitted to book a closed hotel!

Set in Sassnitz in the Rügen region, Marina Martinshafen offers accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking.

The room itself definitely exceeded our expectations since it had a working AC (one in each bedroom), clean and new decor, a spacious bathroom, a sauna inside the bathroom, and even Bluetooth-connected speakers in the sauna. The breakfast was sit-down and was good. The view from the room across the lake and woodlands is also awesome.

The town is small but adorable: a cery calm vibe. a lot of flowers everywhere, very nice restaurants, small local shops hidden on the way to the harbour, a lovely promenade along the sea. Because it's so small everything is walking distance. If you want to make your way to other cities and parts of the island, there's good connections via ship, bus and train. The part of national park just around the corner is, in my opinion, way nicer than the upper part which is crowded and flooded with people. Of cause it depends on general vacations times but I was there in summer off holiday season and barely met anyone. All you hear and see is the ocean, birds and the wind in the trees - I find that hard to finda and I loved every second.

Nice town with good connection (trains, buses) to the rest of Rügen. The best location to reach National park Jasmund, famous chalk cliffs, boat trips to Arcona cape, etc. Sassnitz is a calm and relaxed place.

Sassnitz is a great place to relax.

Sassnitz is a great place to relax. You can make several nice trips a.o. to the national park and Konigsstuhl. Going there by bus is easy. Some busses have a possibility to carry your bike with you. Of course you can also bike to Konigsstuhl but there are several steep hills starting from Hauptstrasse. Buy a special buscard in the bus. 9 euro and you can criss cross the isle for a month!

We went to Sassnitz for a long weekend with a teenager and a dog. The weather was unpredictable, the sea too cold for us to bathe, but we enjoyed immensely the nature and the old town: the sea, the beach, the Jasmund National Park, the Chalk Cliffs and the old town with its charming architecture both on sunny and slightly rainy days. A trip to nearby Binz proved to be a nice addition to the stay.

We were able to get around to many places ,eg restaurants,by walking and that was very good. The cruise-down to the King’s chair was most delightful.the restaurants we chose to eat at all served delicious food and had something for all of our different palates.

Nice place to stay, very calm, lovely town and natural parks. Rügen in general was a really nice surprise. Only downside was the food. Combination of infamous german taste with DDR execution is a really hard bite to swallow. The only thing the do good are all kinds of fischbrötchen and kebap. Avoid Schnitzel Hawaii.

We really enjoyed our stay with the family. The owners are great hosts. The apartment is modern, comfortable, very clean and really well-equiped. The playground and lawn are well maintained and perfect for the kids to play outside. There is a private parking space for the car, and we borrowed bicycles for free to explore the area a bit (note that the area is quite hilly though). There is plenty to see and do on the island of Rügen in spring (April/May), and Sassnitz is also lively enough to keep you entertained for a week.

We were heading back to Sweden after our holiday and wanted to visit the national park in Sassnitz. We stayed in this apartment for two days and it suited our needs. The location was really great to visit the national park. We were also very impressed with the cleanness of the apartment. Although the apartment is right on a busy street, the bedroom is facing the backyard so it was not noisy at all. Overall very nice for a short stay.

Very comfortable house with a great view over the garden, Sassnitz houses' red roofs and the sea. Very quiet. It was a little bit on the outskirts of town but since I had a bicycle, it was just a few minutes away from town and the port. There was absolutely nothing I could complain about. I wish I spoke German well enough to be able to talk with the hosts some more. They are such a wonderful elderly pair! :)

The bungalow has everything a couple needs for a nice vacation. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed, there's even a bit of an ocean view. Sassnitz itself is magnificent and the proximity to the ocean and the national park is amazing. We have never been this active during a vacation meant for relaxation - going for walks was just so tempting, multifaceted and beautiful.

The host was very friendly and spoke English, which was a bonus :) The kitchen in the apartment in well equipped so we were able to cook some meals at home, which was nice! It's located right next to the Jasmund National park, which was the main attaraction of the trip for us so worked out well. Overall a very postive experience.

Nice location in the very centre of Sassnitz. Good breakfast, though I am not sure why many reviewers were excited about the view - the sea view was mainly hidden by trees. Comfortable room, Internet was ok, clean. The hotel has some vibes of 1980s, some things are old but it is fine for me as long as clean. Not sure why so many people expect everything to be brand new.

Ideally located in Sassnitz, with walking distance to the harbor, old town, and a bus station to take you to the UNESCO World Heritage forest, this place is a great choice for staying on Rügen. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good (home-made jams), and there are nice places to sit outside. The rooms are clean and roomy.
