It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensive

Troia is a great place to enjoy almost year round beach and country relaxation.
Eating can be excelent down the Peninsula, though prices are becoming too high, and second level places are not as good as they should be by Portuguese cuisine levels - get on the ferry and enjoy great fish in Setubal for a pair of meals.
Avoid Troia Residence, by The Editorym Ácala Apartments. Lousy price/quality relation. A spacious and well conserved apartment with poor help form the desk (not ansereing phone; late or no action when requested). Absolutely noisy from 7pm to 1am. Tricky air conditioning. Awful 3rd bed requested and paid for an adullt. Kitchenware reduced to absolute minimum, no broom, and no equipment to dry towels and clothes, though there's a specific balcony.

We discovered this is a resort season and most of the area and buildings are empty/closed in offseason, which apparently mid-October is.
Our apartment, F31, was in very poor condition in terms of maintenance. For example the tv, Wi-Fi, security shutters, lock to balcony, shower water pressure were all non functioning. There is a longer list the the building (which was empty except for us) maintenance man now has. He expressed frustration that housekeeping had not made him aware.
The apartment is cute, and had it functioned properly, would have been ok.
As it was, we left, forfeiting the room fee. Reception told us they felt bad but that only Booking.com could issue a refund. We are now waiting 3 days for a response.

Lovely and peaceful.
Lovely and peaceful. Great for sea activities, walking and cycling. Maybe a bit too quite for some but there is always Setubal just a short ferry crossing away. Great restaurants in Troia and also in Comporta.

Troia has a fantastic beach.
Troia has a fantastic beach. Incredible facilities and a great natural environment where the whole resort is integrated.
A bit too family oriented for my taste, depending on what hotel or apartment you stayed in.
This place is very quiet and peaceful off season, but much more lively in the Summer months.
Needs a nightclub desperately!
I also love that Troia is so close to the great trendy village of Comporta and the fabulous beaches of Melides and beyond.

We loved the lime green car ferry trip as the start to exploring Troia. The harbour front was good for eating out, and Comporta for it's relaxed Ibiza vibe. The beaches were glorious but of course the Atlantic Ocean was freezing!
The accommodation was as described in the advertisement. It's a nice house in a great location. We were there in the off-season and the entire neighbourhood was empty, as well as the beach. There was no issue with the house. When we arrived, there was an issue with mould in the original house, but the host was incredibly helpful, booked us into a nice hotel immediately and offered us an equivalent house afterwards. They did a great job.
The apartment offers a spacious layout and boasts a wonderful view! The fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms were highly convenient. Additionally, its location is excellent, being close to both the beach and the ferry port. Overall, our experience was highly positive.
This place was perfect! Me and my boyfriend came for a week to play a poker tournament at the casino - Right next to the beach, tons of space (we work from home and had a set up as well), made great use of the kitchen facilities, perfect location! Will 100% be back!
The actual apartment was fabulous. However trying to find it or where to check in was a nightmare. Nowhere does it tell you to go to the hotel, which is a totally different location! Also in the car park there are no signs as to where to go. Very poor!!!
The hotel location is great. The room was very good, very clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view. The pool and animation was a plus for the kids. Parents liked more how close (walking distance) it was from really good beach (Bico das Lulas)
The location is phenomenal! There's a private beach and a swimming pool, if you're looking for the ocean, you only need to drive a couple minutes to Comporta beach. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed.
Beautiful Penthouse, right at gorgeous beach - truly a hidden gem!
Owner was extremely helpful, tons of tips for great food , ferries, trains ...
Highly recommend the accommodation and Troia as location
The room was a good size and very clean, the hotel is in a good location overlooking the marina and close to the beach. Breakfast was good but very busy. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Very conveniently located in the nice Troia Resort.
The owner Mr. Luis was very helpfful during all steps of the experience: preparation of our arrival, suggestions for restaurants, etc.
Location is awesome. Swimming pools. Very close to the beach, troia and comporta. Helpful staff. Villa well decorated and comfortable. Very good for kids, quiet and relaxing.
