Jiaoxi is renowned for its hot springs. Quite a few hotel or accommodations provide onsite hot spring so that the guest can enjoy hot spring without going out. The hot spring park nearby also provides hot spring to the public to put their feet in. For bushwalking fans, Jiaoxi is good for walking tracks next to the town.

I stayed in Jiaoxi for 2 nights only so that I could do the trip to Turtle Island but my impression is that the place merits a longer stay as I didn't have time to visit the hot springs, Our Lady of Wufengqi Sanctuary, or to undertake any of the local walks. I ate at HoYa restaurant where the staff and other customers were very helpful in finding out what I wanted to order. I had the impression there were other good restaurants in town but didn't have time to explore them.

It’s a great place for getting away from typical busy city life. There are many natural onsens ( hot spring) around which one can enjoy and being relax. The local food are terrific especially the roasted chicken 罋窯鷄，must try in Jiaoxi!

Known for the outdoor hot spring for feet wash and hot bath. Also they have outdoor activity for vegetables and egg cooking in the hot spring water. Local dishes on mountain restaurant if your taxi driver or tour guide can recommend to you, feasting on fresh vegetables in various cooking style, apart from fish and meat.

The free hot springs in the Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park and Tangweigou Park are enjoyable. Easy to reach them, right besides with many vendors and convenient stores where can buy some drinks, snacks. Recommend to bring your own towels and shorts. The hotspring is very warm around 40 degree Celsius.

When I booked the hotel because has Japan style onsen in and room and public. The room too small for superior double room but it was single room. Hotel include buffer breakfast and gym at 9 floor. Gym hour from 0900 - 2100. The public onsen from 0700-1100 then from 1500-2300. I requested gym hour open two hour early from 0700-2100. Because the original hour gym is not ideal time for guest to use it. The price for hotel too expensive because the Japan style almost same in Japan but not quite yet but charge same price as it was in Japan. Jiaoxi is onsen town and I believe there should be other hotel cheaper and offer the same service
