Our expectations were exceeded and we highly recommend staying a night or two as part of your Sri Lanka experience.

Good ac and hot water always available. Property is beautifully maintained. The family that manages the property are warm and helpful. They have a super cute dog named ASH too! Delicious breakfast was included with the hotel. More value for the amount we paid.

Το Aliya Resort and Spa - Thema Collection περιβάλλεται από καταπράσινα τροπικά φυλλώματα. The hotel is beautiful, clean the stuff are so nice and helpful. The food in breakfast and dinner was amazing. The pool was so nice we enjoyed it very much.

Χτισμένο σε ένα αρχαίο μπανγκαλόου αποικιακής περιόδου, το The Elephant Stables είναι ένα όμορφο κατάλυμα με θέα στο καταπράσινο τοπίο του Kandy. Προσφέρει εξωτερική πισίνα και άνετα δωμάτια. This place is lovely. We loved the family tent, which is a small appartment in itself, with a lot of space (parent’s room, kid’s room, living room, big modern bathroom). It was very clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The set up for pool and meals is gorgeous.

Το Villa 49 βρίσκεται στην καρδιά της πόλης Kandy, σε απόσταση 1χλμ. από το διάσημο Ναό του Δοντιού. Το εστιατόριο του ξενοδοχείου σερβίρει τοπικά και δυτικά πιάτα. This villa is a short walk to Kandy lake and about 10-15 mins to the city centre. The villa is an older property with nice views across the valley. We enjoyed watching the monkeys from our balcony as they made their way across the rooftops everyday. The host Shenani and her staff are a delight. Shenani is a great cook and we enjoyed beautiful Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. Shenani also gave us some excellent options for temples to visit in the nearby countryside. Very helpful with onward transport too. Shenani also surprised us with chocolate brownies baked from the Edmonds cookbook which any Kiwi reading this will know well.

Το Sky Pavilion απέχει μόλις 2,5χλμ. από τον ιερό ναό Sri Dalada Maligawa και προσφέρει σύγχρονα καταλύματα με θέα στον ποταμό Mahaweli, τα βουνά και το καταπράσινο τοπίο. Everything! 😍 It was a nice surprise The hotel is in the high part of Kandy ( facing knuckles mountain and a golden Buddha), the view is spectacular. The Sky Pavilion is a jewel, decorated with taste, it’s quiet , clean and rooms are beautiful all with the stunning view on the mountains and you can also relax by the pool The manager takes a good care of his guests and the staff is really helpful and nice . They will help you with everything, visits, food and drinks , transportation , money change etc… In addition, the cooking is really good , the breakfast is top ! And finally , their Tuk Tuk driver is a gem, he will take you to the best places in the city . I will come back there .

Sigiriya is located within the Cultural Triangle of Sri Lanka, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Featuring the best view of the Lion’s Rock, it offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and free parking. Everything was amazing. The staff, the location, the room and all the facilities.

The rooms were very clean , owners were very welcoming. Also, the location is the best part for us as we were travelling by bus and the bus stand is hardly 50m from the house and buses are available for each and every locations. So many cafés and Marts within 50 m of the stay.

The manager there was very nice man and he really make a lot of effort to keep us to the good restaurant because the restaurant was fully booked but he actually made extra table for us just to have dinner New Year’s Eve and that was very nice of him and I would really appreciate it
