Such a great little find, a cute holiday park really close to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing hike. Greg the owner, did everything possible to make sure our stay was comfortable by providing so much information about the area, and particularly the hike and what to expect. He also drove the shuttle bus to the start of the hike which was great and once again explained to the group everything necessary. We felt he really made a huge difference to our visit as we felt someone was there looking after us.

Situated in Tokaanu, 46 km from Mount Ruapehu, Tokaanu Hotel features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities.

Hot thermal heated pool outside our door! Excellent location in small township, quiet, walk to free DOC thermal walk and short drive to lake. Spotlessly clean!!! 10 stars for cleanliness. The new beds were excellent. The family unit had a lot of room Note: The Tokaanu Hotel is an older establishment, but it is in the process of an upgrade, and the price absolutely reflects this. We would absolutely stay again.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities.

We felt welcomed. The parking was easy. The apartment had everything we needed except for washer. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The location has very nice surroundings. It is however not in the town centre which for us was an advantage.

Located in Turangi, Riverstone Lodge, a 5-star hostel, offers a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The property provides garden views and a terrace.

We loved our stay at Riverstone Lodge! The lodge was extremely clean, the rooms were sizeable and comfy, and the lodge itself was super cozy. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want - coffee, french press, dishes, oven, microwave, etc. There were tons of games in the common room. The check in and check out process was super easy. The lodge is walking distance to a number of restaurants. Everything was great! We wished we could have stayed longer.

This was one of our favorite stays in New Zealand, Allan was such a nice host and made us feel very well looked after and gave us plenty of great recommendation about the activities we can do as well as the best places to eat. The cedar hot tub was amazing after we did the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, the best way to end a very long but beautiful hike. The room was very nice and clean and made us feel like home. If we come back to Turangi we'll definitely stay here again.

Located in Turangi, 47 km from Mount Ruapehu and 47 km from Taranaki Falls, Vida offers a garden and air conditioning. The property has garden and quiet street views.

I loved it so much even though it is only a 1bedroom thete is heaps of space, inside and out my dog had a great time there running around the big back yard in the rain. 🙂
