the location is amazing. the room on the train was special and once in a lifetime experience. there are no tv, instead we have spectacular view of Kruger park. the daily drives was great, morning is cold when we at there but staff was thoughtful to provide hot water bottle and blankets. we stayed for 5 nights and every drive we go to some place different. even the pit stop are different. the hotel take care to make sure they provide little surprises everyday. the staff are all amazing. package is full board and drives included so you don’t need to worry about planning your day. they do the worrying and planning.
This award-winning lodge borders Kruger National Park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti Rivers. It offers private Big Five safari tours, and has a sauna and hydrotherapy spa.

The lodge is super nice. The tent fully equipped and the staff really kind.
The position is great and allow for amazing safari. Our guide Peter was super!
Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience.
Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience. This being said, it is not a zoo! Don't expect to see all the existing animals in the parc! Some are easy to spot and other not so much, this is real animal kingdom and it's difficult to say who is watching who! Sun sets are also amazing with beautiful colors. Vegetation is small but dense(bushes). According to our guide it is easier to spot the animal during winter / dry season. Bushes hve less leaves making easier spotting animals and the animals gather around the water spot. During summer it is the opposite. Bushes are more dense and r'there is water everywhere making animal spotting more difficult. So an advice: winter is great for animals but of course temperature are lower so be prepared for low temperature and bring some warm clothes.

Very good upmarket hotel with well equipped luxury rooms and facilities. Dinner and breakfast included in the rate and both were exquisite. Friendly and helpful staff to assist from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. I can highly recommend a planned holiday to this hotel which is situated only a few hundred metres away from the Kruger Gate leading to Skukuza. Great vacation.

If you’re thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking and do it. The accommodations were absolutely incredible. The staff was so friendly & helpful. We took 1 game drive with them and it was a 200/10. Our guide, Elvis, did everything in his power to help us find the Big Five & I’ll never forget him & his knowledge. Get to Kruger Gate Hotel now!!

There was some delay in the pick up from the airport which we had requested. Apart from that the stay was well beyond expectations. The staff was ever smiling, polite and eager to please. The food quality and spread was very substantial even for vegetarians.
It was value for money

Skukuza in the Kruger park is amazing, as is the whole park really! We saw the big 5 in 3 days of self driving with kids (8&9) and stayed in Berg-en-dal rest camp for 2 nights and the Kruger Gate Hotel for 2 nights as well, to see a different part of the park. The restaurant at the hotel and Skakuza rest camp we’re both lovely. As a tourist though, in SA, you should always be vigilant when travelling especially with all your stuff.
This wonderful accommodation place is located in one of the campsite area in Lower Sabie rest camp. Shared ablution and kitchen facilities is available on the site. Portable air-con is provided in the tent which would keep you warm or cool in winter/summer. Special mention to Joy Ubisi for her excellent hospitality. This place is highly recommended to all looking for a reasonably priced tent accommodation inside Kruger Park.
Who could ask for more? A well-kitted out tent with aircon, crockery, cutlery, fresh clean linens, etc., it was a wonderful experience staying here. We were located under the trees not 20 metres from the pool and a just a mere 25 or so further to the Skukuza train restaurant and coffee shop with its never-ending flow of frozen cappuccino, the perfect thing for a sweltering summer afternoon in the Kruger Park.
Very pleasant stay - everything was extremely clean (for a tent, of course), in a nice quiet area in central Skukuza in between the Shop and Train. If you want to camp on your Safari but are flying in and don't have a tent etc., this is a good option. Location also had good cell phone service, which is usually questionable in Kruger.
The manager, Merriam, was very pleasant and responsive as well!
Luxurious, beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff in all functions. The restaurant food was exceptional! Wonderful view of the river and impeccable design, incorporating the works of South African designers. Spa treatments available in-room, small curio shop on site and walking distance to the Kruger Shalati station. Experienced safari guides too.
unique hotel rooms. safari on site. all inclusive drinks and food. exceptional service staff. professional service staff. signature toiletry products provided. hotel rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable linens and scents. mini bar en suite and anything needed was provided immediately.
Lovely spacious villa, well kitted out unit in the heart of the bush, staff that greeted us on arrival were lovely and the unit met all our needs and expectations for our trip, it is also close to the park gate and use of the facilities at the nearby hotel is nice as well.
Location, ambiance, good food breakfast and dinner are very good. Spa area is beautiful.
The view by the pool is very beautiful and calming. Very helpful and professional staff.
We do not regret booking in this hotel and will definitely come again.
i loved everything about this property! the location, the hospitality, the food and drink and the game drives! it was all amazing! the other bonus is the close proximity to Skukuza airport! you can game drive between the airport and the hotel!
A true hidden gem. Luxury tent rooms with all the little touches. Game drives included and our guide, Sorta, was fantastic. All the staff were amazing. Meals were divine. Everything so well thought out, clean, and beautiful location.
We loved the lodge. It was a truly special experience. Everything. The safari, the food, the environment of the hotel, the facilities, the staffs. It is an expensive experience, but totally worth it if you have the chance to invest!
Priviledged situation in the midst of nature within the gated community of a large hotel.
The lodge has a really beautiful design and is very well equipped.
Clint is a superb host, always available and caring.
Best hotel experience I have ever had. You could see the animals in the wild while having a drink in the pool bar. Location is excellent, right next to the Kruger Gate. Attentive staff. I will repeat for sure.
Terrific ! skukuza is a great great place. We saw a lot of big mammals around. Tent are very confortable. Restaurants and facilities around are very good. Prices are really affordable and reasonable.
We had a wonderful vacation at the Kruger Gate Hotel! The staff was kind and nice, the location is excellent! Right at the entrance to the park. The room was big and clean. Highly recommend!
The hotel is beautiful, exactly like the photos. The room was spacious and clean, the supper was amazing with a large variety of dishes and the staff went over and above to accommodate us.
Beautiful and relaxing in the bush but very near by a hotel were u can get all the facilities if you don’t want to cook, the place is amazing , design is to the small details
