يتمتع Sails in the Desert بموقع مثالي يمكن من خلاله الاستمتاع بشكل كبير بالمناطق النائية في أستراليا ويقع على بعد 5 دقائق فقط سيراً على الأقدام من منطقة المشاهدة أولورو (آيرز روك)، كما يُعد مكاناً... It's nice comfy place with good atmosphere. We like it very much. It's better to come here with the car, free parking. petrol station is near. The gate of the national park 4 km, 3 min drive. The tickets to the park better to buy on this gate. You can pay cash or card, 38 AUD per person for 3 days. So you can come and go several times, visit Uluru in the morning[it's 16 km from the gate,15 min drive] and sun sat point in the evening and next day Kata Tjuta in the morning and its sun sat point in the evening[44 km from the gate].All of this in that money. If you are without the car you will need a bus from the hotel,45 AUD per person for 1 visit and pay by credit card only!

Desert Gardens Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, some with a private balcony or views of Ayers Rock (Uluru). Guests can unwind in the outdoor pool, or at the restaurant and bar. what can I say, Uluru is the main view from my room.

Room was simple, but spotless. Swimming pool was a wonderful spot to cool off after long hikes in 30+ temperatures. Location was terrific… right beside the “town square” with access to cafes, a grocery store, souvenir stores and a place to book tours. We had stayed here on our first trip to Australia 12 years ago, and could not make a booking six years ago because of renovations. We were happy to return and not stay in one of the more expensive venues.
