I stayed 5 nights and every day was full of new experiences, fresh food, friendly faces and access to kitchen and fridge. They guys showed me the best spots to surf and also provided with tips. I went for 3 nights, stayed for 2 weeks! What a perfect place to relax recharge during your trip. Double beds, sheet changes, free breakfast all within metres of the beach. The outdoor kitchen keeps cool when its hot, the room has fans but always has a breeze and the beds are comfortable. Perfect for a low-key beach hostel.

We stayed at Raices Mompiche three nights in the end of December. The room was big and there would have been space for two more people. The outdoor area of the hostel was lovely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. We liked a lot that the hostel had some environmentally friendly rules for instance avoid using plastics or at least to separate waste. It was nice that breakfast was offered.

I was very happy with my stay here; set in a private garden with hammocks and outside kitchen, this room was clean, safe and quiet and just steps from the heart of the village and the sea. There's a friendly member of staff onsite too if you have any issues or questions. Most of the budget rentals in Mompiche are constructed from bamboo but Ocean Surf is solidly constructed, so this is definitely the best choice if you are a light sleeper; you won't be kept awake by the music, dogs and cockerels! I have already made plans to return.
