I'm glad I picked Roberto's place for my quick stopover in Ancona. I had arrived extremely late during the night, so late in fact that I was worried I wouldn't be allowed in. However, the host realised that my trip was delayed and made appropriate arrangements for letting me in when I eventually did arrive at 1am. I can't thank him enough for his foresight. I had no sim card at the time and therefore could not communicate with him. The double bed was extremely comfortable, and in an exceptionally clean state. The toilet and shower facilities were in working order: hot water on demand, and everything as clean as could be expected. In addition to breakfast set upon the counter, the kitchen featured a microwave, coffee machine and kettle. As a nice bonus, you can access Italian cable TV channels whenever you want. I would elect to stay at il Poeta sul Mare again if I ever have to stop over at this port town.

Lorenza who runs the B&B is very friendly and helpful about local recommendations. She made us feel welcome. Nice breakfast, coffee and snacks!
