Elise (Owner) met us at the property to hand over the keys. She provided details on the property and the local area to get us started on enjoying the area the minute we arrived. She provided her contact info if we had any questions/issues. She was very responsive to replay to the few basic questions we had.

Our stay at La Maracuya was wonderful. It is a small bed and breakfast that only has 3 rooms. We stayed in a villa with a private terrace. The views from the terrace were great and the pool was spectacular. The cook Betsy is there to make breakfast in the morning and you can order lunch and dinner if you want to. She made great local meals for a good price. There are simple drinks available for purchase like beer and soda. But, it is nice to bring your own and keep them in the fridge in your room. The wifi worked great, even outside of the room. The place is peaceful and relaxing as you are in the hills above the coast line. We stayed here when we first landed in Panama, it's only and hour or so from the airport, so it's a good place to start your trip and recover from the flight. We are going to spend a couple nights here before we fly out as well. They also offer a shuttle to the airport for $100. A bit pricey but it saves me from driving in the city.
