I found it very comfortable for a solo woman traveller. The hostess Marie & her husband were also very empathetic seeing I was alone and gave me pizza on my first night. They also bought dinner for me on my last night. Truly recommended & great Wi-Fi, very clean, air con, tv with utube Netflix etc. 100m to Yee Foo Magasin & super comfortable.

Spectacular view, quiet location, gracious and accommodating hosts, from the first inquiry to our departure, when Cathy showered us with her elegant hand-made shell necklaces. Ralph is a former pearl diver and it was a delight to see what Cathy made with so many black pearls.

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

A very spacious apartment, with a huge tv and good wifi. The hosts are really nice people, and we loved borrowing the kayaks to go to the motu. Plenty of coral reefs around too.

Nicholas and Voilerie are two stars! So welcoming and helpful. They helped us finding a scooter very last minute (suggestion is to book in advance cos it’s not easy to find an available scooter or car), they would check in every evening to see where we went and what we did, without ever being intrusive; they also allowed us to take a shower after we checked out as our flight was late in the afternoon. The bungalow is spacious, super clean, well equipped, and with an extremely comfortable bed. The best spots for food and drinks are a 5 minutes drive from the location. Definitely recommended and very much hope we will be able to get back soon!
