The hotel staff was amazingly nice. The room we had was excellent. the breakfast was the best of all hotels we stayed at by far. The only place that serves butter and not margarine. The cheeses and the pastries were high quality.

Everything! So much attention to detail made to make you feel welcome and relaxed. Marco and Ruben are very friendly, showed us around and coordinated surf lessons and beach horse back riding as well as just taking the time to have a chat with us during our stay. I hated to leave.

The house is masterfully built. Modern throughout & well-designed with 3 bedrooms on each side of the building (with 5 of them on the second floor). On the ground floor is the shared open lounge/dining area which is tastefully furnished & decorated. Located in the middle of the house infront of the outdoor terrace is the kitchen with fully-equipped appliances even an oven. There's enough cutlery, crockery & kitchenware. There's a coffee machine with complimentary coffee & tea. The fridge is huge enough to share with others. There were lots of plants everywhere and definitely plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The wifi connection is excellent in all areas. Our air-conditioned double room is pretty spacious and has blackout shutters. The bed & pillows are super comfortable. It even has a mini bar fridge. It's next door to the bathroom shared with the other 2 rooms on that wing of the house. However, there was no waiting time despite other guests being there.There's also a spare toilet downstairs. There were a total of 3 families of 13 people on the other side of the house while we were there for 3 nights. On our side, we had a couple and mom with 3kids who only both stayed overnight. We didn't find it too noisy or packed at all. Just met the host Carlos once when he checked us in as well as a brief encounter with a lady who was checking in other guests. However, we had more friendly interactions with the cleaner, Elizabeth. She does an impeccable job cleaning the place twice a day. Well done! The whole village of Costa de Lavos where the house is located in a nice & quiet area, just few minutes walk to a patrolled beach. In addition, it's few minutes walk away to a mini-shop, bakery, take-away shops and a few small restaurants. One needs a car to get around to the main town of Figueira de Foz or other places. However parking is free anywhere on the street.

This penthouse is beautiful, spacious, in a great location with restaurants nearby, walkable to the river and beach. Beds were super comfy with high quality linens. Beautifully appointed kitchen.
