Villa Maris is just a paradise in Maio: great house in a very nice residence area, amazing views topped up with the unique infinity pool…but the best is definitively the treatment and the staff! We felt like home We were sent a taxi to the ferry to bring us to the house and welcomed by Alicia who was in charged of making our stay easy and relaxing: she help us with renting a car, booking massages and with any question we had, specially the last day when our boat was delayed by 12 hours and she took care of us in addition to let us stay in the appartment free of charge and always with a smile :) Loved our stay!

Cosy & Relax Yellow House ligger 5 m fra stranden! har terrasse og ligger i Calheta Do Maio, mindre end 1 km fra Praia de Ponta Preta og 17 minutters gang fra Biche Rocha-stranden. We have really enjoyed our stay at Isolinda’s apartment. From start to finish we felt like at home. Isolinda has come to pick us at the airport and dropped at off after the stay. The house is located in very quiet neighbourhood and ideal for someone who wants to disconnect and be in the nature. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for cooking. There are 2 terraces to enjoy. The local Ponta Preta beach is very nice and you will be pretty much the only people enjoying it. At the main beach in town you can buy fresh fish daily and then enjoy cooking it or making a barbecue at home. The best part is the host Isolinda who always went out of her way to answer any questions and to give us recommendations. She always answered very quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Maio is a small island and you can visit most of the main points in one day either by hiring a car or doing a tour. It feels like going back in time where the pace of life is much slower. Everything is relaxed and no stress :) People are very nice and friendly, greet you on the street and smile. Overall we would highly recommend Isolinda’s apartment and we undoutebly will be back once traveling back in Maio. Thank you again for your hospitality.

And if i wanted to know something i always could ask the host. And i really loved that the host had bring me to the ferry with no cost. Really lovely People

Casa Djarmai Boutique Apartments er en nyrenoveret lejlighed med have og udsigt over haven i Vila do Maio, 400 m fra Biche Rocha-stranden. This is a spectacular apartment. Visually just stunning. Clean, well located. The hosts were very responsive.

Barracudamaio ligger i Morro og har udsigt til haven, udendørs badekar, have og grillfaciliteter. My time here went far beyond my expectations thanks to this lovely couple who made their best to give me great holidays. I highly recommend BarracudaMaio and will definitely come back. Torre Sabina ligger i Calheta og har solterrasse og havudsigt. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. Nogle af værelserne har opholdsområde, hvor man kan slappe af efter en travl dag. We spent unfortunately just three wonderful days in Torre Sabina, to remember as one of the most lovely and charming experiences of our lives, and as a promise to come back soon. In Torre Sabina you can breath nature, peace, energy and history, as they have managed to create a beautiful place that fits in the perfect island of Maio, with the inspiration of a true chapel and watch tower. Not only the place can't be better, near to a paradise beach in a quiet and charming town with great people, culture and nature, but also Sabina and Elida made our stay absolutely unforgettable. We felt as if we were at home, Sabina is an inspiring and strong woman worth knowing, and we can be lucky that Elida, always smily and kind, did not accept an offer of the most prestigious restaurants and chefs in the world, because the meals she cooks are absolutely incredible! And let's not forget Emma -the so cute dog-, cats, the duck and the donkeys that keep visiting the place as Sabina gives them water in the dry summers. For now, it is just a memory that could have been a dream, but we hope to go back soon and make it real again! Maio and Torre Sabina charmed our hearts. Thank you for everything!

Casa Carlotta Maio ligger i en nyrenoveret ejendom i Vila do Maio nær Biche Rocha-stranden, Praia de Ponta Preta. Dette overnatningssted ved stranden har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. The place is very cosy and the staff is super nice. They let me check out late. The breakfast is in a bar close to the forte Sao Jose and it is served from 8.30/9am.
