Kerstin was such a lovely host and helped us settle in and know other places to get things we needed for our stay like taxis and halal restaurants. Horisun offers accommodation in Belle Mare. The guest house has a barbecue and terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. The Horisun is a unique family run beautiful little gem in middle of an island full of all-inclusive resorts. It’s not directly at the beach but at a lake and the ambiance and the gardens are beautiful as well as the rooms. The rooms are spacious and all have a lovely balcony and everything is very tastefully furnished. The owners really make you feel at home and are just lovely! If you wish the classic all-inclusive resort holiday this location is not for you but if you’re looking for an unique place to feel home and relax this just the place to go.

Blue Ocean Suites and apartments is a set of 6 suites and apartments situated right on the beach of Trou d’Eau Douce. Excellent stay in the East of Mauritius, Sabrina took great care of me and the owner is friendly and helpful. It is located right on the beach and is close to many restaurants. Really good modern facilities. Good attention to detail on amenities. Will definitely opt to stay here if in the East, its definitely the best location in that area.

The house is located in a new neighborhood just a few minutes drive from the beach. Nice and quiet area which felt very safe. The house is big and airy, decorated with nice new furniture (very comfortable sofa) and everything you need if you feel like cooking. AC in the bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Secure parking. The lovely Mehzabine met us when we arrived to give us the keys and to show us around and we also met Vikram the owner. The pool is not very big but everything you need to dip and stay cool.
