Situated in Takaka in the Tasman region, Labyrinth Gardens Guest House offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. What an absolutely amazing place! Our room was so quiet and comfy and the shared toilet and shower was clean and spacious. The kitchen was so well stocked (spices, utensils, pans, etc). This guest house is better than the pictures! The views in and around the house are absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having my coffee out on the front deck with an amazing view of the mountains. The owner was eager to help make us comfortable and offer suggestions on what to do in the area :) thank you!!

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodation 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

So good for an easy get away woth friends or family! We felt like we were living in luxury. Excellent service and happy with our stay. Nothing we didn't like. Only thing we would do different next time would be to bring extra blankets as the bunk bedding was beautiful, but some friends got a bit cold. We did have a fire place though to keep us warm! A++++ happy with the beautiful stay!

The chalet was perfect for a couple wanting to get away from it all and explore the amazing landscape with rugged views, sweeping beaches and countless caves.

Ashley Villa, built in 1891 is set amongst farmland in beautiful Golden Bay. It provides a unique country homestead experience. Takaka is 7km away. I loved the gardens, the beds with flannel sheets and down comforters, the dog Zoey and mostly the host Jude. It was all so lovely!
