The villas were extremely comfortable, overall an amazing stay and visits to Porto and Pedrógão Grande and the nature surrounding.

Herman and Luc are absolutely fantastic hosts and are so accommodating and friendly. We really felt at home and everything was terrific…from the homemade breakfast to the heated pool to the immaculate rooms. The Location is gorgeous and there are some amazing local restaurants. The guide to the area that they have personalized is very special and unique! They have put in a lot of work to the property and the experience and it really shows. The bed is also the comfiest we have come across throughout Portugal. We only stayed 2 nights, but if you can stay longer, there is so much to see and experience, but you can also just power down and relax as well. Thank you casa carvalhal!

Set in Cernache do Bonjardim, Canto Zêzere, Barragem de Castelo do Bode offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful house. Great kitchen. Comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Very up to date bathrooms and on every floor. The yard is beautiful. Right on the water. Fruit trees and ample parking. Hosts are very kind and very nice. The BBQ is wood fired. They supply wood, and you can also pick driftwood from the beach. Quiet setting. We just love this place and we will definitely be back.

The whole feel of the place was relaxing and somewhat a great retreat. Dani was a great host, so kind and attentive, offering meal options and then 1 night cooking with the other guests for one evening, a really nice vibe. Dani speaks 5 languages so we felt very much at home, as did other guests from different backgrounds, which created a strong bond between us. The pool and grounds are exceptional and worth a visit by its own.
