Open Thursday-Sunday only) which sources much of their ingredients locally and which is operated by the hotel's friendly and welcoming staff. For the stargazers among you, bring your own blanket and pillow and lie below the stars at the nearby helipad, only a few minutes walk way. The view of the night sky is frankly quite stunning from here. The morning after, the breakfast is well worth having - make sure you ask for it the day before though- it's by request only!

Jose Luis even waited for us and still gave us breakfast as due to the changing of the hour we were really late.

The room was cozy and clean! The staff were very nice and the overall experience was great. The restaurant was also v good.

El Rincón de Rascafría se sitúa en el casco urbano del municipio de Rascafría, en el corazón del Parque Nacional de la Sierra de Guadarrama, en la sierra norte de Madrid. The room is big and cozy, location is great and breakfast at the room is a nice touch

El Mirasierra se encuentra en Bustarviejo y ofrece un jardín y wifi gratis en todo el recinto. Todas las habitaciones incluyen baño privado. I liked the location relative to public transport. If you don't have a car but you want to spend a night in the mountains and do some hiking or walking or even cycling, this is a great affordable option for which to base yourself at for a night or two. The rooms are pretty basic, but the shower works fine, with plenty of hot water. There is wifi (though a little slow), the room was pretty clean. There were nice views over parts of town and nearby mountains. There are a few supermarkets and places to eat within easy walking distance. They didn't stint on toilet paper. I don't think it has air conditioning though, which may make it ick during the summer depending on weather. But it is what you'd expect from a one or two star hotel, and for €30, can't go wrong if you want to visit Bustarviejo.
