Quiet and surrounded by nature; I woke up every morning to different bird sounds. We opted to have our free breakfast at a sister hotel which was an pleasurable 5-min walk past paddy fields. While at breakfast, we had the luxury of watching herds of elephants being led to the river for their daily bath. It was amazing! Finally, I can't speak enough praises for the manager, Andrew, for an incredibly good service. He went way beyond any manager I've ever experienced in all my numerous travels, and all with genuine pleasure in dealing with the guests. I'd give him a rating of 15 out of 10!!

Boasting river views, Hotel Yelona features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 28 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens. Good place to stay well within the budget. They offered us a free welcome drink too. The room was comfortable and private. The bathroom was clean. Safe vehicle parking is available.

The Golden Residence, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is situated in Kegalle, 34 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, 39 km from Kandy railway station, as well as 40 km from Bogambara... The house is very clean, very big room with a huge and comfortable bed, big bathroom and all you need (soap, toilet paper, towel, purified water). The location is perfect to go to the elephants orphanage, easy reaching them with the local bus/tuk tuk. The gardens is very beautiful, with lots of plants. The owner offered tea and bananas as a welcoming treat and a garden tour (giving me some fruits too), all for free. The owner is a very respectful, honest and gentile person. The best place I've been in Sri Lanka to be honest. The price is too low for all the benefits the owner is offering. Great accomodation, quiet, cheap and very comfortable. A plus is the hot water and the possibility to have breakfast there (the best garden flower omlette).

Wanakaset Forest Glamping is situated in Kitulgala. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 49 km from Leisure World. We are a traveling family. Truly, this is one of the most enchanted places we had the privilege to stay in. It is unique because you are in the middle of the jungle, without walls. The place is very relaxing, yet you feel the jungle, in the good way. The stuff is most delicate and gentle. The facility is luxurious. We had a great time. All the payments for your stay are dedicated to the preservation of the forest. Wonderful.

Kithulvilla is a little oasis in the midst of the mountains. Laura and her staff takes good care of the guests at Kithulvilla and cooks great food. We were so happy to stay here, and the view from the nice, cool pool is just outstanding. Laura happily arranged a little snack and tea when we arrived, had planned White water rafting by request and booked a tuktuk for our onward journey from Kithulvilla. We almost felt at home!

Near to the pinnawala elephant orphanage and the pinnawala zoo. The balcony view of pinnawala elephant orphanage was nice.

Located in the heart of the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Green Land Guest House offers modern accommodation in Pinnawala and complimentary city tour. The location was perfect to see the elephants. The elephants walked right by the hotel entrance. And the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again!
