The hosts at Aurora were some of the most helpful and welcoming that I've ever had. They greeted us with Tibetan tea on our arrival and when we left, they gave us a small gift bag. We visited during the Spring Festival so some things were closed and transport was not as available, they helped us with this issue. The hotel is located out of Old town and is a 15 minute drive away. They arranged private drivers for hire, drove us into town whenever we needed and helped us organize our COVID tests. They took us to the hospital and to the bus terminal and helped us plan everything. They spoke English and were always available on Wechat. They provide free breakfast and offer dinner on site. This family is so sweet and so extremely helpful! I will be returning simply because of how warm and welcoming they were.

The owner made our stay really comfortable. A very nice lady, speaks English. The place got its own parking. A big advantage when you are with the luggage and kids. Walkable distance to restaurants and attractions. Really quite at night (THE most important for me).

1. Location, easy to access middle, higher and lower hiking trails. 2. Room is equipped with room and water heater. Bed got extra mattress and electric heater too. 3. Food, real organic and fresh cooked food from western, Chinese and Tibetan cooking. Coffee and hot chocolate made by the son is great too. 4. View from the room is fantastic with a large balcony to gaze at the star. 5. Transport, owner got three cars to send us to different hiking locations and for easy pickup upon arrival.

Quiet location close to the old town, the staff was really accommodating and helpful. The rooms are spacious and keep warm in the cool nights. We loved our stay here!

Overall, it was nice. room was very clean and comfortable. bathroom was clean. Staff was very pleasant. They suggested a short hike for me to do and I had a wonderful view of the city in morning, because of the hike they suggested. Location was good, close to restaurants and great for walking. They also had a clothes washing machine on site and a place to dry clothes. Nice stay. :)

I was there in January, the room was very warm inside with AC and electric mattress, and very important there was always hot water. Good location opposite Guishan Park and the staff is really kind and helpful.
