The owner Franco is very nice and welcomes you with the best coffee I’ve had in Ecuador, the room in this beautifully refurbished colonial house was very clean and comfortable, as was the mattress, and breakfast was just super tasty and according to one‘s diet and taste. If I could give 12 out of 10 points I would do so ;)

I loved the room and the views of the river. The garden is lush with plants and trees and you can smell the flowers. I enjoyed reading on the hammock. For me the location was excellent as next door to a vegan restaurant with views of the river and great food! The hotel is family owned and the owners are lovely and very welcoming. It is extremely safe as it is all gated with access only by key fob. It’s also pet friendly for those who want to bring their animal companions. Will definitely be staying at Otorongo Hotel again!
