A two night stay in Albi at this lovely little hotel. The couple who run it are very friendly and made a lot of effort to communicate with us non French Aussies. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was great with everything you could want including home made preserves . Also made lovely scrambled eggs for us. Nothing to like here. Very poor response from the proprietor, and additional stress on me because he did not provide the key until nearly midnight and only after I had rented another hotel room. No one wants to wait until midnight to secure their lodging especially after having paid for it.

La Maison de Julia provided a quiet getaway during a hectic sightseeing trip. It was so nice to take a break for a couple of days to just enjoy some poolside reading. Best of all was the proprietor Pascale who helped us get to the hotel from the train station and mapped out the must-dos in Albi. She’s also a fantastic cook! Her homemade breakfast was by far the best we had on this trip.
