Tina and John are lovely hosts and have a fantastic B&B. The natural garden is filled with visitors like squirrels, deer, a woodpecker and many other birds. The large room with two doors into the garden is very comfortable and has all you need for a relaxed stay. The breakfast, made by John every morning, is delicious with fresh fruit and a fantastic cup of coffee.

Clean, well appointed, friendly and welcoming hosts. Everything we needed was there, and a few unexpected extras such as pantry items topped off a top spot. The downstairs bedroom was extremely quiet. In the upstairs one, a light sleeper might be advised to have earplugs as the church bell rings on the hour and there can be morning traffic, but a light sleeper would probably have them as a matter of course. Certainly much quieter than many places that advertise as quiet. Good parking provided. No hesitation recommending.

I stayed at the old reading rooms cottage for my birthday, it was a fantastic treat, we loved everything about it. My dogs loved exploring the garden and the views were fantastic, we have already booked up to stay next year.

Wonderful location with breathtaking views. Staff were friendly and willing to go the extra mile. A lovely cooked breakfast in a room with views of the castle. A choice of excellent meals.

Great location and very comfortable and spacious for 6 people. The accommodation was well stocked with the basics, including a lot of firewood which makes it a fantastic countryside retreat! Brilliant view of the castle as well. Would highly recommend for either a summer or winter getaway.
