Finding was as easy as it's my husband home town, but for others, it could be quite tricky. The host sent us instructions for the digital door key to enter. That bit was easy - however, locking the door once we were inside was a bit more tricky!! The place was EXTREMELY clean, well kitted out, perfect location and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and it's hard to find somewhere in Alkmaar with parking, so that was a deciding factor. It has some lovely design features, interior design, lighting, excellent use of space and a very nicely converted "attic" on top of an old Dutch house.

We had a truly wonderful stay here. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and right in the beautiful city centre. Having a kitchen was great, especially because of the lockdown restrictions. The owners are super friendly and clearly run this with passion. The apartment doesn't feel like a holiday let, it's attention to detail makes it feel very homely. The bed was very comfy and all necessities are there! As it's only a 2 minute walk to the cheese market, it's right where everything is and happens! We loved the stay and Annemarie and Chris are wonderful hosts!
