I went to Patan with my family. The owner Mr. Pradeep is nice and kindhearted man. First time we arrived there, he rode his bicycle to the main road and lead us to his Yamba Traditional Home so we not get lost. The hospitality more than great, no doubt. 10/10. Room really clean and yaa if you want experience the old city of Kathmandu you should stay here, aesthetic and antique one. Mr. Pradeep also help us to book bus ticket to Pokhara, told us the tourism map of Patan, and recommend us some nice places. The food they made was absolutely delicious. We will miss your Nepali's donuts. Thanks for your unforgettable hospitality. Nice to met you and nice to knew you. We will see you again Mr. Pradeep for our next trip in Nepal.

Beautiful traditional Newari house, friendly and helpful hosts, always with smile. Shila’s food was excellent. The house is in a prime location, 2 minutes away from Patan Durbar Square but quiet , easy to go anywhere. There are 2 beautiful temples in front of the house, I found a sacred feeling around the area. Nepali people say friendly monkeys come mean you have luck , so I got luck on the last day that 3 monkeys visited me ! Patan Ghar provided high quality toilet paper, it’s a bonus compared other places even hotels in Nepal.

Location is great as we were able to get everything within short distance (walk able) - like grocery, vegetables, fruits, curd etc. This two bedroom apartment in the ground floor had everything that we asked for in our extended stay. Bedroom was in good order - beds were comfy and bed sheets were clean, bathroom was clean and well maintained, spacious kitchen had all that we needed for cooking - be it a blender (mixie), pressure cookers, utensils etc. Seema and her husband were very friendly and attended to each of our needs during our entire stay (19 nights). They simply made us feel at home for the duration of our stay in Nepal. The host(s) also offered assistance with money exchange, renting a car with a very friendly driver for a reasonable price, getting printouts of flight tickets and boarding passes, suggesting valuable site seeing plans etc. Housekeeping was at its best here. Saraswoti, the maid, in addition to providing excellent housekeeping services helped us with getting fresh milk every morning, in doing laundry, in assisting with emergency needs etc. day in and day out. There were indeed some minor issues occasionally - like brief power cut due to inclement weather, and it was very appreciable of the host to take our concerns seriously and to provide us with short term solutions. We had issues communicating in the local language when we were out in the city and Seema would not mind me calling her for help despite being that happening more often. I travel a lot and but seldom write reviews, however, I am forced to write a review this time - in a good way 😊. I still remember the words that Seema said when we were about to leave - "it just feels like friends/relatives leaving after a brief stay". I, my wife and my daughter felt exactly the same way to sum it up. P.S: In fact, they invited and hosted us for dinner at their place before we left Nepal, which was very nice of them to do!

Great comfortable Stay! Clean rooms, good breakfast. Warm sunlight in winter, bright rooms. Beautiful courtyard view, very quiet ambience and nice, friendly people. Also very open terrace, good for sun basking and having breakfast early morning. Very near from the Patan Durbar Square, good for walk around the place.

Sanu is a kind soul, and personally I think she is the ideal host. She provided me with beautiful stories about Patan’s culture, shared her wisdom, and gave great advice about sightseeing. Also you can feel the love that she puts in the food and tea. Taking care of guests and being a kind person seems to be in her nature. Her presence actually creates the experience. Her stories also made that I could understand Patan’s, Newari’s and Nepalese culture better. This felt valuable. It’s an enriching experience. The location of Sanu’s House is ideal to visit Patan. Everything is on walking distance, and very close to the most authentic places. You can start up your day at the guest house with fresh breakfast, and if you like you can also eat other meals here. I would definitely recommend staying at this heartwarming guest house.
