Highly recommended!! The location is very near to Ita Thao pier, which we could easily get to by boat from Shuishe even with our luggage. It's a new place (opened in April 2023), the facilities are modern and in good condition, and the design of the place is very intentional. The owners are very friendly and cared for us very well, even giving us a lift to Taichung since they happened to be heading there for the day too. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and very delicious too!

Mei Jen is a one minute walk from Shuishe Visitor Center/Bus Station. The mom and daughter went out of their way to help. My shoes got wet from the rain. They moved them from the rack and put them on a dehumidifier to help them dry. They sent me a message to let me know. They answered all my questions about the area and the bus schedule. My room had a balcony with a partial view of the lake. The room had a sitting area with a love seat. The bed was comfortable. Shampoo and shower gel were provided. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The B&B has a washer and dryer. They have shared refrigerators and water dispensers on each floor. There is an elevator. The breakfasts were good with different options each morning. There is a rooftop terrace. A 7/11 is across the street.

The room was clean, quite big and the bathroom has dryer and really high tech. The hosts (oh my God) are very helpful and always try to make our stay comfortable. They are very friendly and always try to show you good places to visit. Really really really love their hospitality. English was obviously not their first language, but boy they really tried their best to communicate with us. And I must say they did a really good job. I don't have problem understanding them.

The place was very clean and very well maintained. The air conditioner worked great and was nice and cold. The bed was comfortable and King size. Our friends who had a cheaper room with no window also had a king size bed. The location was great. It was within a short walking distance to catch the bus to Taichung train station, and short walk to the pier for the ferry boat around the lake. Also plenty of restaurants and bike rentals close by. Grandma doesn’t speak English, but she knows how to communicate with a translator app.

This B&B was a highlight of my trip. I got room with lake view. Room was beautiful, huge and super clean. Owner picked me up from the bus without me asking for it. Breakfast was delicious. I got advice on bike rental and my further trip. Amazing place, I definitely would stay again.
