Situated 2.5 km from Gubei Water Town in Miyun and Simatai Great Wall, 20 km from Jinshanling Great Wall, Jumanyuan House features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. -Super nice stay at Jumanyuan house, a family run guest house -The entire family was always so so helpful and nice, providing pick up at airport and taking me to anywhere I needed to go throughout the day as well as providing advice on which sections of the wall to visit -Highly recommended guest house to anyone looking to hike the nearby Wall of China -Room was very spacious and had all the things I needed (Wifi, AC, etc) -Breakfast and other meals were always provided as well as drinks and water for the day -Super efficient communication with their son via Wechat who speaks perfect english

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Simatai No.19 Villa is located in Miyun, 3.5 km from Great Wall of China - Simatai and 8.3 km from Great Wall of China - Jinshanling. High quality room with excellent English comms. We have just enjoyed 2 nights here during May 2022. Pros are: 1) Excellent communication with Ellie by wechat before and during the trip. She can arrange transport for you to Panlongshan section of the Wall for 100rmb round trip. Any questions you have she will promptly reply. 2) Watertown tickets (2) were included in the room price and the car to go there and pick you up later. Very convenient and saves you money! 3) Delicious breakfast especially French toast, fresh coffee. Fresh baked rolls..We ate breakfast in the adjoining breakfast room which is nicely furnished. 4) Ellie kindly upgraded my room.Comfortable room (four poster bed) with ensuite bath (powerful water tap in bath. Also large separate shower head).. Good quality toiletries. Bathrobes. Aircon /heater in room. Living room - adequate size but be aware that it's a shared living room amongst 3 rooms in the Villa. Luckily we were the only people staying there that weekend so had it to ourselves. 5) Excellent, helpful staff working there - Linan speaks English. 6) Relaxing seating area on the deck outside. A barbecue too but we didn't use it. 7) i put in a special request for a cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The lady there, I forgot her name, made a delicious cheesecake. Thank you. Cons No cons. Special notes. We visited during the covid testing period in Beijing and also when dine-in restaurants were prohibited. Please do not let that deter you from visiting because you can easily order takeaway food (staff will help you order it) and eat it in your Villa. Also you can do your 48 hour covid (NAT) test before you leave central Beijing and stay there 1 night and still get back to Beijing central. Hospitality venues like this Villa need tourists to visit so we should try and support them. We got the minibus from Watertown (departs 1200, 1700) to Dongzhimen Beijing cost 48 rmb per person NOTE you pay on the bus.
