Julio and his family are lovely people and they make me feel like I am at home. The people I met there were amazing, I spent Christmas and my birthday at Casa llemo and I am really happy I chose to stay there.

Set 24 km from Volcano Atitlan, Una Noche Con Mical offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. Great location - in the centre so super convenient but on a quiet side street. As a solo female traveler I felt safe in this neighbourhood. The terrace (full of beautiful plants) is wonderful and the view of the lake is magnificent. The room is basic and clean. I stayed in the king room that has direct access to the terrace. It is slightly more expensive than other rooms but comes with private bathroom. And having direct access to the terrace is a great bonus (makes it feel private as well :) ) The owner is around for any questions or advice if needed. Both him and his family are super nice and respect guests privacy. I highly recommend this hostel and would be happy to stay there again if I ever return to San Pedro.

We highly recommend this apartment if you’re looking to stay in San Pedro. The apartment is large, has everything you could need, and is close to the port. Also, the view from the balcony is stunning!!

Situated in San Pedro La Laguna in the Solola region, Apartamento Jacob has a terrace. The Volcano Atitlan is within 24 km of the apartment. - The place is a bit further (yet still within walking distance) from the main touristy area. This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

Set in San Juan La Laguna in the Solola region, Casa Elenita offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This apartment features a garden. We could not have had a better experience staying here. Domingo the host was the most accommodating, offering help any way he could and really elevated our 5 day stay. The house itself was in a perfect location: close to all the main in in San Juan la Laguna, while remaining just off the beaten path. The house and rooms were plentiful and spacious, and the rooftop terrace out of this world. We were 7 people and felt like we had more than enough space. We had so much fun staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat. San Juan La Laguna is a beautiful town with real heart surrounded by gorgeous mountains and inhabited by generous, interesting people. If you are thinking of coming to Lake Atitlan, I could not recommend enough staying in San Juan enough. And Casa Elenita only exceeded any expectation we had.

Located in San Juan La Laguna, Mundo Abu San Juan La laguna offers beachfront accommodation 26 km from Volcano Atitlan and provides various facilities, such as a private beach area, a fitness centre... It's a really nice, quiet and laid back place by the lake in San Juan. Great to chill out, do water activities or do trips to the other villages. I got a free upgrade when I arrived - the deluxe familiy rooms are absolutely fantastic. The mix of private rooms and dorms gives a nice mix of different travellers. The staff/owners are beyond friendly, they really try their everything to make you feel comfortable, communication workes really well. It was one of my nicest stays in Guatemala, if I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely stay here again!

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Amankaya Atitlan is a recently renovated guest house located in Cerro de Oro, 18 km from Volcano Atitlan. The house was very spacious with a full kitchen for use. Would recommend stocking up on groceries prior to reaching the home. The view was stellar and the house was on a tranquil and serene portion of the lake.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of garden, Casa Qatzij - Guest House, Lake Atitlan is set in San Lucas Tolimán, 21 km from Volcano Atitlan. Casa Qatzij will forever hold a special place in my heart. This space is truly a home and you’re a welcomed part of a family. The kitchen facilities are gorgeous and a lot of thought was put into it, similarly with the rest of the house. Truly, one of the nicest kitchens I’ve seen during my travels, with everything from sharp stainless steel knives to spices to cast irons!! There’s an exhaustive collection of novels, non-fiction, zines, and other readings materials and many cozy spots to curl into (possibly with one of the three animals who live here.) Everything is cleaned daily and I found my bed to be sooo comfortable after weeks of lumpy pillows are wiry mattresses. San Lucas Toliman is certainly a quiet part of the lake, but worth visiting! Veronica, Frida and I went for an excursion to Punta de Diosas (goddess point). it’s also worth noting that while the owner was away, his volunteer Veronica held the container of this space with such integrity and joy! I think it speaks volumes to the energy of this home that she is so wonderful. additionally- Veronica gave me the best haircut of my life. I’m truly leaving here as a different person. COME HERE!! Just live and be in this thoughtful, gorgeous home.

Located in Santa Cruz La Laguna in the Solola region, Rustic Charm and Breathtaking Views features a balcony and garden views. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free WiFi. Beautiful view and location in a nice area on Lake Atitlan. Clemens was a great host and assisted in arranging private lanchas for arrival and departure. The kitchen facilities are nice to have and it is good to follow the suggestion to buy groceries in Panajachel before coming to the house. It is a very private location. Especially enjoyed the hammock and watching sunrises and sunsets from the porch.
