The restaurant is lovely with its view (on the landscape and the cows!), and the food (mostly homemade with farm products) was delicious! I highly recommend.

Tjörn 1 is a recently renovated guest house in Hvammstangi, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. The property features mountain and garden views. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was great. Very spacious, well-equipped. One of the best accomodations we had on our Trip. And we even got to see the northern lights, since there's not much around 🙂

Featuring a hot tub, Bakkakot 3 Cozy Cabin In The Woods is located in Akureyri. A hot tub is available for guests. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The bungalow was very comfortable and cosy, located in the woods. Fairytale and very romantic place. There is a queen size bed, video option with movies, table and small kitchen inside. The bathroom was enough big. We will recommend for dinner the Eyri restaurant on the lake, only 10 minutes away from the property. It´s a gourmet one (higher price level) but all very tasty with an excellend wine choice. Near Akureyri we will highly recommend also to visit the Forest Lagoon (thermal baths).

The cottage was spotless, had a very well-stocked kitchen, and a beautiful sitting area to see the mountains while eating breakfast. It's on a beautiful farm with horses, sheep, ducks, and a very cute dog! This is a must stay!!!
