I really enjoyed their company and those delicious meals they cooked. They treated me with so many tasty Sri Lankan curries. I loved everything. And sweats also. And they adjusted to my food preferences. Being vegetarian, not eating garlic, onion and chilly in Sri Lanka can be quite hard, almost every meal has smth I don’t eat. But they cooked for me the most delicious pure veg and sattvic food. I absolutely loved my stay there. And was kinda a bit sad yo leave.

Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

The room was clean and the owner had turned on the AC before our arrival. Due to the extremely hot whether, that was really thoughtful. Owner was so friendly and helpful.

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Hatale Tea Estate Bungalow terletak di tengah perkebunan teh yang rimbun, hanya 1 km dari Hatale Tea Centre. The view is breathtaking. Staff was very polite and helpful. Raju, the caretaker, cooked sone delicious meals for us. Try hiking to the mini worlds end at the top of hatale for one of the best view points around.
