Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. The owners could not have been kinder. The lady had my heart as you can tell she loves her property and her garden. This property was like a hidden oasis. It was perfect in every way with an exceptional shower and lots of hot water! We would love to visit again sometime!

Quinta De La Rosa ligger på en familieeid vingård på den høyre bredden av Douro-elven, kun 2 km fra Pinhão. Rommene på denne vingården er spredt over flere nivåer. First of all, the staff was very kind. We arrived later in the evening and we stayed there only one night. The receptionist said since we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the possibilities of the quinta, after check-out we can still come back to try the pool or eat a dinner in their restaurant. That felt like a very nice gesture. The quinta itself was really beautiful, the view from our room was perfect the windows looked to the river! The design was amazing, too. Tim's terrace had a great tapas and the breakfast was also amazing!

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

Boasting garden views, Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley offers accommodation with a rooftop pool, an indoor pool and an open-air bath, around 6.5 km from Douro Museum. The property is amazing! Owners took care of every little detail and it was just an overall exceptional experience.

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa and only 18 km from Longroiva Hot Springs, Eira da Fraga offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The space was very clean and the location in the middle of nowhere but close from the city was perfect

Located within 17 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Apartamentos Barbosa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Really nice apartment in good location. Welcome fruit basket and water was greatly appreciated.

FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz, a property with a bar, is set in Lamego, 1.4 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 16 km from Douro Museum, as well as 36 km from Natur Waterpark. This little house is just that, everything is there, but small. The way it is organized, however makes it very comfortable for a base of visiting the town. You can make your breakfast in the morning and take off to see the local sights and everything is close. You can actually see the top of the Sanctuary (with all the steps) from the windows. It is quiet and the bed is comfy. Our bus didn't leave till mid afternoon and the hosts let us stay an extra couple hours-thanks.
