This was one of my favourite places in Sao Tome! The bungalow was so nice and the whole property is very beautiful. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super good. I really recommend this place and will return when I come back to this island

Eden Valley Ecolodge and Farming ligger i Madalena och erbjuder en pool, en trädgård, en restaurang, gratis WiFi och utsikt över poolen. I have stayed 2 nights on the 1 bed bungalow + 4 nights on the 2 bed bungalow: this review will be about both of these to avoid duplicate reviews. About the bungalows: - The bungalows are absolutely beautiful, very well cleaned, beautifully decorated. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable, as well as quality of the sheets. And bonus points - only accommodation in Sao Tome I found a duvet!!! Most places have just a small blanket but nothing beats a proper duvet for someone like me who always gets cold at night. - It has a mini fridge, a TV, hot water with good pressure, quality towels, a hammock and sofas outside to chill. Honestly, this is top quality accommodation, especially for the cost. About the property: - The staff are super kind and helpful and made me feel very looked after <3 and the owner Erikson was always available through whatsapp ready to send tips, ask how things are going, etc also super accommodating with doing late check out since my flights was not before 10pm. - Their menu is really amazing, and they have proper vegetarian meals!!! It's amazing to feel that vegetarian meals are not just an afterthought. The desserts were also absolutely spectacular (that passionfruit mousse... to die for). And the omelette they made for lunch was exquisite, other locations should learn from them on how to make an omelette dish that is actually good, not oily, balanced and super tasty. - The waterfall that can be heard from anywhere in the property is yet another amazing selling point. You can hike to see it up close! - I enjoyed the pool and the pond next to it, with fish and turtles! Even if turtles were a bit shy. Nice place to refresh after a day out. - And last but not least, Jeff, the ginger cat. He's such a lovely kitty!!! As a crazy cat lady this was definitely one of the best things (I often look for cat references in reviews so leaving this one for other crazy cat people like myself :)) Overall top notch accommodation in Sao Tome!

Waldimiro is the man, he picked me up from the airport, helped me trade money, and basically took care of everything for my trip. Great budget location in São Tomé and the staff really goes above and beyond to help you.

Mawo house ligger i Santana. Detta strandnära boende erbjuder tillgång till en balkong, gratis privat parkering och gratis WiFi. the view was the only reason I selected the area, the staff were great. I feel bad management was harsh on them when we had banking issues. it wasn’t their fault.

We loved staying in Santana. The house is well equipped and has a lovely mango tree in the garden. The hosts are very helpful. We really recommend this place.

This was the best place we stayed in Sao Tome. It is about 30 to 40 min drive from the airport. The garden in the front of the property is fabulous and well designed with many interesting plants and fruit trees. There is also a cocoa plantation through which you can take a leisurely walk. The owner, Maria, was an excellent host. She was very welcoming and friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The food was very good and we had 3 evening meals there all of which were delicious and well presented. The Mousse au Chocolat made with cocoa from their own plantation was so good that we had it for dessert each time. The breakfast is very good too and we were given plenty of fresh fruits and fruit juice. We stayed there twice and both rooms we were given were very clean and the beds very comfortable. If you are after peace and quiet this is a fantastic place as you are surrounded by nature. There is also the option to take longer walks in the area.

The comfort and size of the accommodation alone would be reason for us to rate highly. In addition, the incredibly dear and impressive host. We very rarely get into raptures, but this host is a sensation: so warm, so interesting and interested: simply impressive and what a gift to experience. A few more words about the accommodation. The accommodation is large, very clean and has a sensational terrace. The bed is perfect and large, windows have mosquito protection, are tight and even have blinds (so you can make it nice and dark to sleep) The garden is a dream. You not only see (almost) all the fruits you dream of, but also get them served for breakfast. Indescribably beautiful as already mentioned the meeting with the landlord Mr. Simão. Many recommendations, lots of interesting information and conversations about the region. It was also ingenious to arrive so late and have a place to stay so close to the airport. We were picked up, although it is only a few hundred meters, with a jeep. After many hours of flight, a luxury to be received so and to land in such a nice accommodation. Our summary and with focus on a round trip: the perfect place to arrive or depart from São Tomé and Principe and spent time close to airport and a nice beach close to the town. If we were business travelers we would say: a perfect place to have a nice, calm and safe accommodation away from the center
