The place was clean and comfortable, the ladies that host it were attentive and sweet and spoke both English and Spanish. The breakfast was very good and freshly prepared. Bed was comfy and the fan was pretty powerful. Location is great too, safe and about 15 minutes to center.

Luis and his family are amazing hosts!! Luis also gave us a lot of tips and info about Santa Ana volcano and lake Coatepeque. Any questions you have he’s the right person to ask too! The room was very clean and comfortable…will definitely recommend it 100% 😌

Situated in Santa Ana, Tía Mema Hostal features a garden. Among the facilities at this property are room service and a housekeeping service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. It was so nice, it was clean, the staff was great. Comfortable room, air conditioning, privet bathroom.

Hostel ZwiebeL is situated in Santa Ana. Featuring a shared bathroom, units at the guest house also boast free WiFi. The hostel is in a great location. It very close to many different restaurants (amazing pupusas!!), a natural spring pool is just a 5 minute walk away, and the main town square is a 15 minute walk. The neighborhood felt safe and the hostel owner (Nelson) is a super cool chill dude. He does a free walking tour which I highly recommend to get acquainted with the area. He also has the cutest dog named Bush! It was such a treat getting to know them while staying at the hostel. The hostel kitchen is also well equipped and I also loved that you are able to do your own laundry here in the washing machine. I would definitely recommend this place!

Located in Santa Ana, Ricks hostel Santa Ana provides a bar and shared lounge. The location was great, right by the lively street market and a couple of minutes walking from the main square (theatre, cathedral, city hall, casino, etc.). The staff was great and there was a guitar on hand too! Just ask the staff about it.

Situated in Santa Ana, Hostal Plaza Antigua features a garden. This guest house features free private parking, luggage storage space and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. The building is old colonial mansion. I love the layout, open area and courtyards.

Hostal Sole is situated in Santa Ana. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi is available. At the guest house, rooms come with a patio. This possibly the nicest hostel we have stayed at during our 10 month trip so far (7 months in). With the most comfortable beds, air con, a fantastic breakfast and nicest staff, especially valeri who was around all times to help... would highly recommend this place.

With mountain views, Captain Morgan Hostel Lake Coatepeque is located in Santa Ana and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. Excellent location. Tiki ride on the lake was nice to see the waterfront properties. Great place to stay to go so a volcano hike and relax with some new friends.

Hostal Las Puertas in Santa Ana provides accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The property features inner courtyard views. The place is great, it´s clean, the facilities are great anf the staff was super helpfull.
