Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

Norem, Esteban and Valeria made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast and dinner (with the hummingbirds around) were delicious, prepared to the point and with several dishes to choose from. The cabins are all new, very well designed and furnished, the bathroom with steady and immediate hot and cold water supply. A garden with a small trail are in the making and will make spending time in the crisp and clean mountain air even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend Curuba Lodge which became our favorite place in Costa Rica! Tip: Esteban can connect you with a few guides to see the rare and iconic Quetzal birds.

Log Cabin in Tinamaste Valley, Habacuc Woods, BARÚ har en trädgård, en terrass och grillmöjligheter och erbjuder boende i Platanillo med gratis WiFi och utsikt över bergen. We could have spent a week here, we really did not want to leave. If you get the chance, you must stay here. The cabin was perfect, there is nothing you need that isn’t here. The views are spectacular, it wouldn’t be possible to do it justice. We were very fortunate to stay at some incredible places, but this might be our favourite. The drive up is challenging, we were laughing the whole way, but it was definitely worth it. We can’t recommend this place more. Great hosts, readily available and accommodating.
