The amazing staff personalized my whole stay with what I like to eat and which animals I want to see today. I felt very special because of their highest level customer service. The place is located in the middle of the jungle, so you can get all the animals coming to your door. I got civets, bats and broadbill birds. The food is amazing and the whole experience is great. The place just reopened so all the bedding and towels are freshly new, the same with boat and life jackets. My bed was hard, but I really liked it this way. There is internet in the restaurant/ chilling area.

Probably the most unique and beautiful places I have ever had the fortune to stay. Silk sand and crystal clear water! Sook Peng and Fred are wonderful and kind hosts who help to ensure a brilliant stay. They help to organize all the travel arrangements from your lodgings in Kota Kinabalu to the island via car and boat, and it all worked seamlessly. The food that Sook Peng cooked was simply fantastic and some of the best I have had during my whole trip. The lodge is very unique and they take their environmental responsibility very seriously. Staying on the island is a once in a lifetime experience. It’s completely deserted apart from a small village and there are lots of different activities one can do. (Kayak, snorkel, diving, guided walks). We did bonfires at night and spent the days in hammocks just meters from the beach as the local island cows wandered past.

The Last Frontier Boutique Resort bevindt zich in Bilit, bovenop een heuvel van 100 meter hoog met uitzicht op het bosreservaat Kinabatangan. one word: amazing! if you had the chance I would recommend to book this place! Jason Grent and the staff are very friendly, they have just 4 rooms so they take care of all their people! this is a true experience into Borneo wild life…we had a lucky meeting with an orangutan nearby the rooms! the eco resort is located up to a hill but is not difficult to go upstairs since you are incredibly absorbed in the nature! they organised everything perfectly: 2 boat trips and one trekking up to a hill (about 2,5h). You have enough time to rest. They also care a lot about our transfer at the check out to Semporna, we could not ask for more!! The food was also good, even if for me a little bit too “western”, banana pancakes and nasi goreng were special!! rooms are big essential and comfy. this experience is worth to do, just remind the Jungle itself is a little bit noisy special during the night, we slept well anyways. thanks again! I would come again!

D' Limbai Cottage bevindt zich in Ranau in de regio Sabah en biedt accommodatie met gratis privéparkeren. Bij de lodge kun je gebruikmaken van een terras. Na een tijdje in KK was dit wel echt een verademing. Een prachtig uitzicht op de berg! De man die beneden woont was ook fantastisch. Hij heeft ons super veel informatie gegeven over de buurt en ons ook vanalles getoond.

Je kunt bij de accommodatie ontspannen in de tuin. everything, best healing place with affordable price for family trip,will come back again. just a caution on the road, a bit steep, if you are using auto car, then use low gear, if using manual, make sure your brake and tyre in good condition for more grip, please be more careful especially during rain, since road may get slippery. recommended place to stay

Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge bevindt zich in Sandakan in de regio Sabah en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. The lodge itself is basic, but extremely comfortable and has everything you need. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. The food was very tasty and served hot and on time. Massive plus is at certain times of the year the year when the fruit is bearing the orangutans come right outside your cottage, which is amazing. All in all great place to stay.
