Hosts went above and beyond for us and a family run business. Food cooked there and then, fresh produce from their backyard! Can’t put a price on the view from the top, could have sat there all day! Motorbikes available from the place also! An absolute must on Ometepe!

Finca Ometepe was the highlight of our visit to Isla Ometepe! We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts, Hanna and Hakan, who welcomed us to their home, shared their food, showed us around the farm and made us feel at home!. It was a very special experience for all of us, we had never experienced something similar on our travels before. We picked organic greens for salad together, participated in milking the goats, searching for eggs, processing Cacao and Cafe grown on the farm, enjoyed making our own pizza in their clay oven, and baking the most delicious brownies from their cacao (and recipe!). The farm is beautiful and relaxed, the casita has comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor dining area with hammocks to relax in. Breakfasts where homemade, yummy and varied, and on top of all of these, hauler monkeys visited nearby every morning!

La Bambouseraie ligt in Balgue, op minder dan 16 km van de vulkaan Maderas, en biedt een permacultuurboerderij en exotisch fruitbos. Elke accommodatie heeft een balkon met uitzicht op de tuin. Absolutely fantastic, staff were lovely and very friendly, breakfast was great and had a different special every morning. The cabanas were very secluded and you really felt you were in the middle of jungle. We extended our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Great food, incredibly efficient we will be back

Beach cabin ometepe ligt in Altagracia en biedt gratis WiFi, een tuin, een terras en een bar. Sommige units hebben een balkon en/of een patio met uitzicht op de bergen of het meer. The best part of staying here is that Hector makes you feel like family. He is such a kind man. He's willing to stop what he's doing to help at any time. We felt safe there because he was always either downstairs or nearby. The location is very ideal. It's right off the main road and I liked how it was kind of central to all of the adventures and activities we wanted to do. The Saturday market was also right along that road as well which was cool! It is a great budget friendly place. You have everything you need. Don't expect it to be luxurious but expect to have everything you need here. Plus you get to look out at the lake from your patio! Great coffee spot! There's a couple good restaurants that are walking distance as well as a tiny "pulperia" to get some basic food for the place. If you're wanting to do all of your cooking here just make sure to bring some groceries from the Mainland as your options will be limited.
