Quail Rest is located on Totara Peak Station which is a working High Country Station situated on the shores of Lake Benmore 22kms from Twizel township. Free WiFi and private parking is included. Extremely convenient and accommodating check in process for a late evening arrival. Wonderful accommodation that exceeded my expectations. I just needed a quiet place to rest before my next morning adventure but on an upcoming couples getaway I am planning this will be top of the list!

Just a 2-minute walk from beautiful Lake Tekapo, Lexi's Lodge features mountain views and a private garden with outdoor furniture. Hosts were amazing and so lovely to deal with! We loved every bit of our stay! We ended being snowed in and they gratefully let us stay while the road got unblocked… our stay was magical and we would definitely love to come back! Situated in Twizel in the Canterbury region, GH Twizel Holiday Cottage has a garden. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent location to venture out to Aoraki / Mount Cook national park. The house itself was fantastic: the bed was the most comfortable one we’ve had during our entire vacation, everything was spotlessly clean, the bath amenities were fantastic (especially the conditioner) and it had a nice personal touch from the host. The host was very friendly and so nice, it was such a lovely and positive interaction and made us feel right at home. We wish we had stayed longer. Tip: go outside at night, the sky is full of stars!

Very clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The city of Twizel lost water due to a broken water main while we were there but we were kept aware of the progress made on the repairs.
