We stayed one night at Titicaca Aruntswi Lodge and had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The room was exactly as shown in the photo, and we were provided with a gas heater and rustic electricity: not standard 220 VAC, but enough for lights and charging personal electronics via USB. Eddy and his parents are very kind, gentle people, and were wonderful hosts. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to a busy landing spot, where Eddy met us to take us via boat out to the lodge. The Uro community asks for a very modest S/. 5 per-person fee to help defray the impact of tourism. The floating island of the lodge was reasonably isolated and was surrounded at all times by an incredible diversity of waterfowl. We had three meals while there, from lunch to breakfast the next day, all of which were delicious. The view from the lodge out across the mountains, water channels, and the seemingly endless sea of reeds was spectacular and our stay, although brief, was one of the most memorable and worthwhile events of our time in Peru!

We only had one night to spend at Uros Semarana Uta Lodge and we regret it was only this much. It was an amazing time, Cesar is very friendly and very responsive. He arranged our pick up from the train station and took us with his boat from the taxi. He and Lucy prepared an amazing stay for us, the house is very clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. The next day we didn't have anything planned so Cesar took us to a tour around the islands, explained to us everything about their community, arranged for a totora boat trip and gave us an amazing time learning a lot of stuff. Him and Lucy are such warm and friendly persons, it was so nice to be guests in their home and we recommend to pass their door step and get to know them, you will have an amazing time.

Situé sur l'île flottante d'Uros, l'Uros Summa Paqari se trouve à Puno, à 7 km du lac Titicaca. Le port de Puno est à 5 km. Toutes les chambres comprennent une salle de bains privative. The location had amazing views - what else could you ask for being situated in the middle of Lake Titicaca. Vidal and his family were lovely and friendly. The rooms was exactly as the photo depicted. Our favorite spot would be the lounge area by the lake where you can just sit the whole day. The bathroom is also very comfortable - their toilet is flushable and they have a water heater. Lots of blankets are provided to keep you warm during the night. The food they served though simple was actually one of the best we had in Peru, and that's after dining at Lima and Cusco.

I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
